Not helping at all. I want a super fast compact phone with good camera and premium look and feel, there's only one and if it cost €600 it would still be the only option. That's iPhone 5s of course. But I think this guide is good for emerging markets, irrelevant for Western Europe but I know there are other places so ok, even if I find the Euro pricing puzzling, INR would be more appropriate.

AnonD-135930, 04 May 2015iPhone 6+ does have OIS, LG GFlex 2 overheats, Note 4 isnr ... moreOne more article crafted to place the iphone where it does not belong, neither alphabeticaly nor technicaly does it belong at the bottom of that list effectively placing it at the pinnacle in peoples minds..and of course more to the point, the samsung edge seemingly 2 places behind it subliminally. The pros of the i6+ seems to have got a little scrambled to, the s reen puts it right up there with nothing at 1080, and the 8mp camera that did "quite well." puts it firmly to the right of the dividing line, which puts it way down the pecking order its only pros being made of metal and having a print sensor..like other breeds have, but the most neglected pro to be mentioned is apples runaway overlording of the media, which would, could, and does grant it a pass card through every occasion it has to be compared to rival superior products.

Thanks for an excellent review of the current state of affairs regarding the mobile market.

I too noticed earlier this year Samsung's KZoom mobile/camera hybrid. Whilst it clearly is an attractive device I appreciate the remark that it might be regarded as too niche, rather like the BlackBerry Passport.

“the Zenfone 2 family is still scarce in some regions” – there’s an understatement. Reality: “It’s only available in Asia and France, promised other markets have failed to materialise”.

Also, I can only long for things like the sentence in the LG G2 blurb: “One big drawback is that there's no microSD card slot and the base storage is 16GB, so we've picked the 32GB option” – here in Canada, we generally do not have such options. Only one model option is generally available, and it tends to not even go down in price by a penny until TWO generations later have appeared, and even then, only on contract. (Xperia Z1: one carrier, still at $700 outright, but zero if on contract.) If there are multiple storage options, we pretty much have the lower one. (Moto X 2014: two carriers, both 16GB.) One exception has been the recent Samsung Galaxy S6+Edge with all the multiple storage options. Actual exception, or trend? Time will tell.
