Huawei Mate S review: Precision styled

18 November, 2015
The Huawei Mate S is somewhat of a weird fit in Huawei's current device lineup. It is not the eagerly anticipated successor to the Mate7 (that would be the soon to be announced Mate 8), nor is it part of the Honor family, or bothered with an Ascend moniker.

hello every body, i need your support,
i bought a Hawaii mate S 5 months ago, and until 2 weeks ago everything is going in a good way,
suddenly the battery life is 50 % less then before and i have to charge my phone twice per day, and previously once is enough for all day.
    i need your support.

I don't understand are Huawei deaign engineers mad .
They need to improve their android skin whole lot .

Touchwiz on latest samsung flagship is awesome :; learn Huawei .!!! You are in a learning phase

On the other hand: when it fails to read my finger, I get a short vibrate. If I touched it by accident when I took the device out of my pocket it vibrates. it happens quite a lot and it's annoying.

Which is which, I don't have the instrument to test the audio quality but have ears, when I tested the HMS it's almost identical to the huawei P8 and also the loudness. Cheers guys.

                      1. Huawei wanted to have a customised memory management I presume and there is "Protected" apps. If an appointment is unprotected, the OS closes it when I lock the screen / timeouts. I would have thought that Android "default" can manage the memory better.
                      2. the Huawei Swype is laggy. And unresponsive. That, on a rebooted phone (so excess memory usage is not an issue and again I don't have too many apps).
                      3. I made Google keyboard as default. After sometime, presumably after a restart, it (keyboard) went back to Huawei Swype !

I got this yesterday. Too early to comment, but the EMUI which came with this is too restrictive and I don't have the feeling of working on the latest Android. Will install CM12 soon.

How many more iPhone 6/6S Plus phones lookalike do we need on the market?
I mean after HTC A9 and others really shamefully to steal Apple iPhone design and make it into their own phone. It's getting very sickening now...

Basically if you own an Ascend 7 this is the same phone, It's too pricey for the hardware it offers, the Kirin 935 has a really good CPU, but outdated GPU and it`s not a phone to last.
My suggestion is to wait for the Kirin 950 (Ascend Mate 8) and skip this one.

Everyone talking about the price and so forth but anyone bother talking about the finger print scanner. According to the review, its a killer on this phone. Sounds like its in mad competition with Samsung's TouchWiz and Apple's Touch ID.
