Huawei Nexus 6P review: Stepping it up

21 December, 2015
Last year, a dramatic change came to Google’s Nexus offering. The upper-mid range phone that was the Nexus 5 was replaced by a premium and much more expensive model made by Motorola. Skip time ahead about a year to this fall and we are offered a true premium package with a significantly lower price tag. The Nexus 6P is beautifully designed by Huawei to please both power users and average users alike.

Only came here for the battery endurance test. And I must say I'm satisfied, 74hours is really adequate for a phone running crapdragon 810. So obviously Note 5 and 6s Plus would perform better with 7420 and A9.

With that much "larger than average" battery and having stock Android software at the helm, the battery life is really not encouraging.

no otg support is a huge bummer......dat was d only option for people with big storage requirement considering that there is no memory card slot either.....
      no ois...????? for a flagship?????
and 10 hours video playback and 8 and half hour web browsing is not a good score at all with such a huge battery.....

Why no explanation in regards to low browser performance, the 5x beat it in all performance aspects

Their testing equipment is obviously in Sofia so they couldn't do this test in US. Don't know why they had to do it in US.

Could the people who say they are disappointed explain why? It's bit difficult to guess and it seems that it is because they prejudiced towards chinese companies.

IPhone 6s plus offering the same as 6p? Give me a break GSMArena.

                        Phone of the year.

seems incomplete the review compared to the rest.

Expected more battery life for that 3450mah it packs especially if it is a current gen AMOLED they sourced from Samsung. It maybe current gen but I doubt the fabrication and materials are the same as Samsung's flagships. I bet it is the current gen of low tiered panels for customers

The camera is not just great it is the best under the line you can get. I made a ton of compassion shots between the galaxy s6 that I sold just 2 weeks ago and the nexus 6p which is my daily driver and especially at night, the nexus is the ONLY phone I have ever seen that can capture colors like they are, all other phones over exposure whites and making colors look grey. Even the galaxy s6 that is considered as the best camera on gsmarena

Funny when I saw the title "stepping it up" I guess it means step up the price but not the spec.
