Dearest gsmArena followers.Frankly and unbiasely speaking,Mate8 is one of the best upper midrange close to the high brands in all specifications mentioned here!One great mistake following some samsung products:Using sim card2 as a substitude for memory card slot!!!?Otherwise it could be called First Huawei high end and the second Chinse one after Xiaomi Mi pro,but altogether it is still one the best midrange smartphone,though with the high ultra price which does not expect from Huawei to loose many costumers!!?I wish the best happiness and good luck for those who can afford using its high qualities!Please care for what is made,not who is made to be fair even if it is a good Chinese one+good support....Justice Rights.

Mate 8 is Very expensive for a chinese brand IMO.64gb model is also way more expensive .Huawei is asking too much for the 1) extra 1000 mah battery juice 2) two sims and 3) a sd card slot.
One is Better off with afforable note5 which has more and other extra features too..it also comes with a f/1.9 camera apretures for both front and rear cameras for better low light photography and note5 looks are also great too.
so note5 only if the above mentioned 3 things are not very important.

Buy Mate8 if you can't afford iPhone 6s Plus or Galaxy S6 Edge+... Mate8 looks good, probably is good, but it's "Huawei"

I feel the price point of the Huawei Mate 8 is a tad on the expensive side, however, and I can't see a reason to switch from my Huawei Nexus 6P (my daily driver).
Huawei phones tend to be up there with the best in terms of build quality. I am kinda wishing they bumped the screen resolution up to 2K from FHD!

AnonD-482637, 07 Jan 2016a really georgeous looking phone with a really bad looking ... moreafter using the ui for a while, I begin to love it. it is an easy to use ui. asop version of the ui and touchwiz are not good in my opinion. I usually replace it with a launcher like Microsoft zero launcher. zero launcher identifies your choices. and make it easier for you to select the one you want by intelligently sorting your apps and contacts.
huawei's ui is good enough for daily usage. it has some cool trucks you will identify later after using it.
