Huawei P9 review: Ascension

This phone seems to be rather nice. However the only thing that is stopping me from buying it (and yes I know its petty) is the navigation bar and the inability to hide/auto minimise it :-(
From what I can workout this has been an issue on other Huawei phones but there is a hack for them. The only hack I have found for this phone is to root the phone and permanently disable the bar

I disagree on gsmarena's about the P9 Audio ... it's Loud , louder than my Nexus 6P , my HTC 8/9 and oppo r7 plus. with its DTS audio , this P9 Rocks !

Does anyone know the audio recording quality during video recording?
I would like to know if it can handle clearly a video recording of a live concert or loud sounds.
(My Nexus 5 sucks so much in this)

huawei is doing it the same way as apple....or almost....it praises usability and user friendly interface rather than huge top notch perfomance. Right now you don´t need all that perfomance.
if huawei keeps improving this way, it will be n1 world manufacturer in less than 3 years.
This is a fine peace of art, I would buy it if I had the money to spend. Right now, very happy with my honor 7.

This version supports 9 UMTS bands and 17 LTE bands, which is a lot more than the AL19.
If I buy this phone it must be the Premium AL10 edition.

If you know photography, like shutter speed, aperture, iso etc you should get P9, may be you can get a dark picture to have enough exposure without blur and noise. For the rest of us just stick to the s7 and s7 edge this year, you can never go wrong... P9 pictures tend to be underexposed

A bit disappointed the CEO said the next phones will be QHD. A lot more battery drain and for what benefit?
The P9 is weak in camera and video capability compared to most other flagships and for that reason I would not buy it. Next model will probably bring higher video capability.
