AK, 02 Aug 2016Samsung is not pushing techonolgy to the limits..why not 6g... moreSpec fiends might be dissapointed, but given they don't understand the practicalities of such things, doesn't really matter.
Even ram of the same type, eg 'ddr4' can have differing speeds and ways to be implemented..
4k doesn't offer anything to human eyes (on a phone screen), and even for vr, just proves a fraking hassle to try and push to the screen at a framerate that is needed.
Even the best mobile video chipsets are equivalent to an 'intel graphics' video processor (and no serious gamer would be caught dead with one of them driving a 4k display)!
Note 7 does what it does well. Could it be improved upon? Any challengers?...
Not just spec sheet wannabes!
Extra ram is only useful if existing ram is filled.. and fast ram from fast storage can clear and reload rapidly... what is the highest consumption (single) program (out side of 90webpages open in a webbrowser) than anyone has seen..? I am genuinely curious!

Black Onyx purchaser... wish the black matched the screen perfectly.
Then I would feel like I had a futuristic phone like "minority report" or "i am robot"...

I agree that the Note 7 is no upgrade from the s7 edge. But I still use the Note 4 (and I will for one more year), so then it's definitely an upgrade.

SaltandPepper, 08 Aug 2016So, has the same specs with S7 edge you call it downgrade? ... morewould you call it an upgrade from the s7 series ? the chinese talk about an upgraded note 7 version. that means new cpu, 6gb ram and 128gb internal space. that would be an upgrade. for now the note 7 is just an edge with pen and iris scanner.
