I just can't believe the compact is not water resistance and I was finally deciding to put my Xperia z1 compact aside...
Not so sure now! That was in expected and Un accepted Sony!

Too bad there is no FM radio fuction available on ZZ!! At least we here in the THIRD WORLD could use it

The Asus zenphone 3 is not water-resistant and not unique, the camera quality also doubtfull and can't capture true color, 6GB ram also too much for such a plalet, if it is 8-10inch tablet, I will accept 4-6GB of ram, because of the large screen and multiple windows usage.

I have been using Xperia phone since the original SEX1 (Xperia X1) but at this rate Sony is trailing way behind than its competitors. The new Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has SD821, 6GB RAM, Sony's new sensor, and probably priced lower than XZ. Currently have the Z5P. They should just revamp the hardware on the Z5P which I think it's one of the best xperias sony ever produced except for the SD810.

Hardware wise has stabilised.
Midrange specs give off good enough performance nowadays. Better to focus on other aspects in the software to help make people more efficient.
End of the day if the user himself doesn't know his/her own needs that is not Sony's problem. Bar gaming this phone is good enough for a world that wants cheaper price yet some quality.

Not that such small speakers could ever sound good (not even did HTC One M8's, when everyone said the straight opposite) so it's better to just hook the phone up with real speakers.

The rest is silly. Samsung and others don't have two speakers up front. And the 820 only has a minutely tweaked revision. That's it. And will also run really well with a 1080p display.

Sony and HTC seem to be trying really hard to make phones that age well instead of cramping all the hardware they have at disposal in a phone. Unfortunate that Android phones show no love for these attempts. These two companies deserve some chance before they get written off.

I waited and expect it is s... moreWhy is everyone clamoring for higher resolution on a 4.6 in screen? The difference is hardly noticeable and would completely ruin the battery life.
Same with the 650. In the article it was stated that the 650 gets comparable performance to the 820 due to the smaller screen. Why add more battery draining power when it's not needed?
The only valid complaints to this phone is the large chin and the omission of water proofing. I really do not understand while slight, the phone got any bigger than the z5c.
Either way I'm buying. There simply are no other choices sub 5 inch unless you join the evil empire. I tried the galaxy s7, and I cannot stand hearing the click sound of the button nor can I reach all corners with one hand.
