I'm always interested in Sony flagships but there let downs. I've read the camera is not impressive and the big let down is the battery. It's the longest phone to be fully charged and with average length only.

By looking at the video, when both phones launched their camera app, the XZ automatically focused on the flower while the S7 Edge mispointed its focus, and the user had to tap to focus on the screen just to make it focus on the subject. So when you quickly take a shot, you will most likely get a better shot with the XZ than the S7 Edge

At least those bezels pack in some great stuff, unlike Apple which is just part of its design for all over the years. Those bezels inside have 1/2.3" sensor size, both rear and front, as well as dual front-facing stereo speakers, both of which the Note 7 lacks. Plus, the fingerprint scanner is at the side, which is much more comfortable than the ones on the Note 7. Bezels serve their own purpose. And if you dream to have a bezel-free screen, then phones aren't for you.

Side bezels have no correlation to the screen size. However, since you've mentioned it, would you please consider a Galaxy Note 7: it's a phablet, yes, but it's somehow only 2mm wider than a "regularly"-sized Xperia XZ! Now think of S8...
XZ is a pleasingly looking phone, i must say, and it just could be more comfortable in 2016.
