Hi!I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the duration of the wake up alarm. I select an mp3 as a wake up melody but it only lasts 1 min. Can somebody help me?

The SAMSUNG U700 must be the worst phone ever made in the whole world!
DO not buy this phone yaou will forever regret it.....!!!! I am warning you!!!
When I first saw the phone it loocked perfect, very slim and posh, but after less than 3 months the phone loocked crap, totally POS.
The pain starts to come off it looks like we have been scraping the sides off with a knife, but we I've only had it in my pocket.
SAMSUNG service said that it was due to wear and tear!!! are they totally crazy! do they even know what they are talking about!?
UNBELIEVABLE, do not buy this phone. I definately will never ever buy a SAMSUNG again.!!!!!

The samsung U700 has got to be one of the worst phones made. While it looks sleek and sexy at the start, within 3 months the chrome finish rubs off exposing the cheap, white plastic underneath. I wish I could show you my phone because it honestly looks like someone has got to it with a paint scraper. The customer service lady explained to me that this problem often occurs with the U700's all the time, how's that for great customer service. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was going to look someone had scraped of the paint.

I'm having the same problem as Caroline McGlade. I need to delete one of the numbers that's in my 'add recipient' list when sending a text message.
Deleting the number from the contacts list still keeps the number in the 'add recipient' list but it just appears as a number and not a name.
Please help!

worst cell phone ever....
the suplied earphones are really lousy... could harldy hear anything and since the jack is not standard I had to go through hell to get the spare ones...
the mask peel off(I guess they find it normal)
the slide mechanism is pretty lousy, and in less then 8 months, the round buttons stoped responding.
I now decided not to use another samsung ever again. this is the biggest disappointment (and I was a big fan of D500).

Ferrum, 12 Aug 2007How do you show the Album Art for the songs you're playing?... morefirst, you have to transfer all of the mp3 files that you want to have album art to your pc (for faster editing). then right click the file and click properties. click the advanced settings for that file, scroll down and if you are able to find a button named "add cover," click it. you will be prompted to browse the image file. once found click ok and save all changes (usually the file will be >=50 kbs more). that's it whenever you play that file thru your phone, album art will appear. some of windows os dont have this function though so you may have to download tag editors...hope this works!

1)shiny metallic coating ... more1) Type *#0002*28346#
2) It will bring up a menu:
[1] Load Params
[2] Dump Params
[3] Call Config
3) Press Back, and it will bring up another longer menu
4) Key in 3 to bring up SPK Config Menu
5) Then key in 4 to bring up AV-QTune(MP3) menu
6) Key in 1 to bring up SPK MP3 Vol. menu
7) Key in 6 to change the max. volume
8) Input 40 and press OK, it will change to 4.0db default max. volume is -3db. I wouldn't recommend higher than 6.0db because the sound will distort, anything lower will be fine.
9) Once done, press cancel to close the service menu and try to play a mp3 with max. volume. This volume apply for your MP3 Ringtones and Message tones.
Note: If you restart your phone, your settings will be changed to default.

There is a problem my "Airtel" sim card is not working ' It shows "Out of your range" or emergency calls only, whereas the SIm works properly in other Mobiles - Please guide me

Im thinking of buying the u700 but ive heard you cant use Mp3's as your ringtone?? is that true and if so is there any other format u can make the songs that will work as a ringtone apart from polyphonic???
