(I saw a video testing multiple drops onto that camera while it was out and it survived! Pretty impressive considering the screen didn't survive nor did the glass front and back.)

The 13 MP on it outeperformed most budget phones until late 2017.
If only it had a camera 2.0 interface like modern ones. But I've snapped some unbelievable shots with it.
Coupled with cheap snap-on lenses and snapseed I've been able to make it compensate for the lack of a second sensor.
When I upgrade, I'll get this or the zenfone 7 if Asus keep upgrading like this.

My main device is a Padfone S, including the Padfone Station. Amazing phone that transforms into a tablet. But the camera is garbage. Most Asus' phones have crappy cameras. And this motorized camera is Asus' way of giving the middle finger to us hoping they will one day come with a phone with a really good camera.

If amoled was worse, why is that all the flagships use one? This phone is very good but it does have compromises. Like every other phone out there.

An all-screen, notchless SD855 phone with 5,000mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card slot, all for 500 EUR? Sounds like a great deal there.

Big disappointing about this device, because doesn't have all LTE bands from Europe + USA. ASUS's staff doesn't travel!? They are holding 2 cellphones (one for EU and second one for US)?!

Mai Dvices, 18 May 2019Some comments put down amoled for it's BURN-IN traits. I us... moreMy 950XL and Mate10pro got the same screen wear where the navigation bar that stay black 95% of the time. When you go fullscreen after a year of use like this, you can detect that the pixel that were never used are colder: the blue led are stronger than the used ones since they wear quicker than the other. In reality, not a bother since there is no reasons you should change your habit of having a black navigation bar if you always did it. But you can clearly use this to see that an oled screen wear with time, getting warmer colors since the blues led become less powerful. When I had my Mate 10 pro I had to set the color on "warmer" profile since the screen was really cold. But now after a year, it went back to "neutral" profile and is still a little warm (what I like).
This said, I 've a brother that sent back 2 Samsung S7 edge after 2 months of use because the GPS he used (coyotte for radar detection) simply burned a red circle on its screen. Yes, in 2 months of heavy use (the app was displayed like 10h/day).
Regarding this phone, I really miss the time when camera had more noise and less sharpened photo. The photos with trees branch on sky really hurts my eyes. Far too much contrast and washing effect on the shades of brown of the trunks.
