G90T and 730g definitely not a tie in performance

Too much Snapdragon bias , oh well let's keep the competition coming

Dying to see the dimensity 1000l in the redmi note 9

Xiaomi still sucks at overblown highlights as usual in pictures and still have lame audio bit rate

And still no eis in selfies

Eclynoh, 30 Dec 2019Realme X2 for me. Redmi note 8pro good phone

DroidBoye, 31 Dec 2019In Southeast Asian pricing, it's the Realme 5 Pro that dire... moreIt's similar here (CzechR).

As for those photos, day time photos, I prefer the Redmi ones, I see much more detailed and contrasty pics there. Wide angles, mixed bag, actually pixel-peeping quality is generally better, then expected. Regular and wide pics by Realme are soft in corners, but sumetimes the highlights are rendered better - wide angle pics for Realme by the slightest margin. Night pics, when when juxtaposed by the tool, the first pic better exposure by Realme, the second pic: draw, third pic: Redmi messed up totally, Realme wins, the last pic Redmi wins by far - just see huge difference of detail in favor of Redmi: even better than Honor 20 (that edges our duo in the first 3 though). Here (CR) the Note 8 Pro is cca 40% cheaper than X2 - quite an argument.

For me, redmi note 8 pro still the winner. I love miui os than unfriendly boring color os. Design and built quilty too. And the mi smart ecosystem can connect mi appliances including my mi band 4. Don't forget the price is cheaper too than realme x2. Realme design so boring. No innovation at all from realme 1 to realme x20 pro.

Without mediatek no can't think about snapdragon 730 in lower midrange mobiles. Competition is always good for consumers.

Both top notch phones in the under 200 dollar price point

OnePlus and OPPO for the win, I gave up on Xiaomi for now, let's see if they release more interesting phones in 2020 to gain my heart back.

In Southeast Asian pricing, it's the Realme 5 Pro that directly competes with the Redmi Note 8 Pro on both of their 128GB variant. The X2 is in way higher pricepoint, even higher than the old Pocophone F1 6/128GB. The X2's 8/128 variant competes directly with the 6/64GB Redmi K20 or the Mi 9T (Global) in terms of pricing.

Unfair comparison, here in Indonesia redminote8 pro price is lower than xt (using QSD712). And the price gap is more wider if you compare it with X2 (QSD730). I think Redminote8 pro is the winner because it is more cheaper than X2

Ah Redmi vs Realme, the battle of the sub brands of Xiaomi and Oppo. I've used both phones from them, I've been using Realme 3 as well as my wife, recently, I gifted her with the Redmi Note 7, since the video of Realme 3 is not that good, and I mean really not good. The RN7 has image optimization on its video, also, she found the little things that Redmi adds to their phones to be her liking, led notification, image stabilization on their videos etc.

For me it has to be the Realme X2 by the narrowest of margins. I just find it extremely difficult to give up the SuperAMOLED display, the better video recording and a more reliable and power efficient chipset. Not to mention, faster charging.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 has deltaE 1.3 on sRGB (standard) and Realme X2 has just little higher deltaE, both under deltaE 2.x, so extremely accurate colors.
