Poco F3 long-term review

Have been using it since 2021 now, minus here and there, but still great phone for its value, but one problem that sometime really take me off, the volume down button not working anymore, first it's stuck then after a month it's stop working, anyone got the same problem? Is it common?

Scharnhorst, 22 Apr 2023Is Poco F3 still worth buying in 2023?I... don't think so? It was released in 2021 so almost 3 years old now for a new phone. In 2023 you can have Poco F5.

Pre Ordered March 2021 received Apr 2021. Until today it works. Only issue is my usb type c port for charging I need to wiggle the cable until I hear click sound. Not sure why. There is no issue with type c otg drive

I have been using it for almost 2 years now.
Its power button is loose and I got damaged 2 times, even fell out.
The screen is not as bright as advertised and has a blue tint, although it can be calibrated, but the colors are still wrong.
It vibrates weakly and the microphone is small.
MIUI has a lot of bugs.
The rest are fine.

I have this phone for 1.5 yrs the actual phone is good for the price even camera is ok but not software which is miui here. Every single update when they fix one bug they and add few new bugs instead . Too much ads build in miui. Stock Video and audio players is just like magazine with ads. When you use 90% of memory on the phone reboot time takes 5+ mins. When you use phone for voice messages something crazy is going on with screen due to lack of proximity sensor i think they just use gyro to save cost .

rinne, 21 Dec 2022Okay im currently using a sony xperia m4 aqua, almost 7year... moreA52s is a better option for long term, as there are more reported failures of the Poco F3 compared to the A52s, but neither are a good option as thez are 1-2 years old at this point. If you haven't made a choice yet, go for the A52s if those are the only 2 choices. I would, however, wait for A54, or a Pixel 7a, which should last you about 5 years at least, as Google phones age well, with good software support. Now, idk how tolerable will any phone on the market be after 10 years, as their batteries are made to last up to about 4-7 before being really degraded. Your best bet then, if not on a budget, is to get a Pixel 7 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Pro (not out globally yet), or an S22 Ultra.

Okay im currently using a sony xperia m4 aqua, almost 7years old and now the battery is failing. Is this a good upgrade compare to galaxy a52s? Because the price gap is huge and im looking for it to stand for the next 7-10years lifespan like my previous 2 xperia phones.
870/865 7nm vs 778 6nm of a52s which i know is more energy efficient.
I only use phone for reading documents, browsing and youtube for atleast 10hours a day.

I've bought a Poco on July 2022. So far so good . Dimming issue is a small problem but sometimes when you reboot the device it's stuck on the Poco logo ( SOMETIMES) . That why I don't want to reboot the device often afterwards. My conclusion is: sd870 will never disappoint you!

Bought it in February. Still loving it, still smooth. I'm gonna have this one until it breaks. It does everything I want it to do and more. I'm Very happy with it.

Reading this review it's enough to put people off buying this smartphone yet the original review was sparkling it certainly doesn't give much trust to the review process howether I now have this phone on Android 12 miui 13 and it's fantastic,even the camera is decent especially with the gcam download,the screen is fantastic the speakers are the best ive heard the battery life is exceptional and the proximity sensor problem is solved the fingerprint scanner has no equal and the price was just 200 pounds for the higher ram and storage varient nothing can touch this phone for value.
