16 February 2009
Market leaders Nokia are usually among the key news makers at the Mobile World Congress. Unfortunately this year, the manufacturer failed to reveal an all-in-one flagship as an answer to the pressure of other manufacturers...

Hope Nokia gets the Call Logs issue on N series fixed with this model and also add SMART DIALING to all their phones. Why do you think they are called Smart Phones? Nokia should learn to act before it's too late. Act fast before the likes of Samsung and now even SE kick you out of your own S60 space. SE already has Smart Dialing on all their feature phones. Even the $250 MSRP models have it now.

I don't think it was dissappointing at all. i think its apparent that nokiaare looking away from ridiculous toy like the sony ericssons etc. they seem to improving the quality of the devices and thinkingof user experience. adding more connectivity and data services is excellent. i'm sick of the megapixel race its great that they are thinking deeper with they're features and services rather than maxing everything out and it not working.

“…One of the major disappointments of this year MWC is the Finnish company – Nokia! Along with Motorola who also did not introduce officially anything exciting, the Finnish manufacturer of mobile phones gives a big disappointment to its fans. The only novelty from Nokia comes as an upgrade of the old N85. The upgrade comes in a form of a slightly better camera – a far cry from the competitions touch screen monster phones. Looks like the rumors about Nokia research downgrading is true. A rather unexpected move by Nokia, we can only guess whether or not they will be able to keep their major market share this way. Economists are saying that by the end of next year Nokia and Samsung will be practically be on the same market share. Now, more than ever, this statement is looking to come true. Our comment is only one – if Nokia wants to keep their market share, they must resume research especially on the touch screen segment since that is their main weakness right now.”

This is from MobileWorldNews. I thought it might be interesting to you …

Don’t be ridicules! This is a cheap upgrade on the camera side on to the N85. Pathetic try from Nokia to rip us off again.

Most of them are Sony Ericsson fans who loves to go in various Nokia forums here in GSMArena and pretend to be an interested Nokia customer and bash bash bash.

                                    They are simply immature.

For majority of the buyers, a "smart" phone, is just the same as any other phone.

Is there any other phone which delivers on gaming, photography and music?
Is there any other camera smartphone whose price is below 400euros?
Admit it. This phone delivers on fun unlike any other. It is actually the best all in one device at the moment. And they finally got the n81 inspired design correct. Even gsmarena said it has excellent egronomics.
Nokia may not have been the first to introduce an 8mp cameraphone, but they have produced the best one so far.
Honestly, what did you want? A gigantic phone with the resolution of a TV? The last news leaked about a nokia phone with 8mp, you people said nokia was going too far.
You guys just want to bash nokia. Its pointless. And frankly, this is the only site i've seen people bashing n86. Every other site praises it.
