Flash support in web... moreThis so called high end device doesn't even have a single LED Flash.. that's just pathetic. Even low end phones now-a-days has at least one LED for low light.
All phones are made of Plastic ? may be you know only 3 - 4 phones ?
HTC legend ? Nokia N8 ? Ionized Single piece brushed aluminum hello ?
buy a torch ? lol why even bother to have a camera at the back when you can buy a DSLR ? you are funny.
what about TV-out ? N95 had TV-out like 4years ago ! , even for a flagship phone there is no TV-out on this one ? its ok if it doesn't have a HDMI port like N8 or EVO at least composite ? very very average phone from samsung.

This is the phone I've been waiting for. It is just p-e-r-f-e-c-t. Except the camera problems, but who needs better than 5mp camera on a phone anyway?
The benchmarks of the phone are amazing, audio quality best in the sector... How and where do I get it?

I think Samsung Galaxy S is great :-)
Flash support in web browser will be resolved with Froyo
LED flash? for what? Buy a torch ... Or you want a car in your phone for ten years?
For everybody - when you want to compare this phone with other devices - try to think and use your brains and try to compare with devices wiche are real on market, not with your "nonexisting device of your dream"
It si plastic? Of course - All phones are plastic ... or do you want device made of marble or steel?

Great Phone. Would have prob bought this if there wasnt a samsung wave around the corner.
btw its android so offcourse there will be updates to this samsung phone 0.o
The bad points aint bad at all if you are even looking at this phone. You know you wont get No LED flash or dedicated camera button. Same as the millions of people who bought the iphone....
Anyway im wainting for the samsung wave review gsm arena :D.

GSM arena is the only site that acctually likes TouchWiz on top of Android...
I personally prefer vanilla but that's the matter of taste I guess... I u sure this is not iPhone OS on this, it sure as hell looks like it LOL....
It looks like you guys I fighting over who's gonna do review of Android device... a lot of recycled text here from other android reviews... guess droid makes it easy for you guys...
Like the specs, of the phone..... but personally I'd pick Desire or N1 over this in a heartbeat.... but that's just me though..

Bingo, 22 May 2010Really can't understand why Gsmarena seems to like it so mu... moreExcept for the N900, no other phones support flash fully (unless they're using Skyfire), so I don't see why the omission of it makes this a letdown compared to other competitors (desire, nexus, milestone, ifail).
GPS can be bought for a reasonable one time fee, so it's not a big deal imo.
The only flaw that glares at all is the lack of LED flash, but since all phone cameras suck pr. definition, the only thing you're really missing is the ability to use the flash as a torch. Possibly with such a good screen you can just use an onscreen torch instead.
Again for the cheap seats, the only thing that can hold this phone down is a high price tag.

No free GPS navigation solution
No Flash support for the web browser
No flash for the camera
No dedicated camera key
Feeble loudspeaker
For me it is a big NO, too many letdowns.

Iphone couldn't even beat Nexus One head to head on CNET. Iphone 4G specs is just catching up with old Nokia N95. What keeps Iphone going is Appstore and you iApples, the phone itself is a total piece of junk and has tons of bugs.

Damn, GSMarena you missed to talk about two very important points and you made a mistake ( i suppose).
You missed to talk about VGA front camera (at least say "android doesn't support videocall yet) and to show the lanyard! It is the first Android to feature it and as it is so big it's really important!
The mistake (again i suppose) is about Wifi, everyone knows it has also Wifi N but you put just b and g. If it doesn't work as on HTC Desire/N1 just put "Android doesn't support wifi n yes".
And yes.. you didn't talk about bluetooth 3.0, how it works? is it faster, cooler, useless?
Finally thanks for the review, it's what I was looking for, very specific and nice to be read!! I'll continue to follow your blog!
