HTC Gratia review: Body double

7 January 2011
Compact but capable, subdued but edgy, old but new. That’s the HTC Gratia. With Froyo greasing the cogs, the European version of the HTC Aria is more than a name change – this petite droid is getting ready to storm the Old Continent...

So the Aria was never released in Europe?

We've had the Aria in Australia on Optus for quite a while now, in a version using the same bands as Europe (2100/900). Named the Aria. Not "Gratia"....

I love it. But then again I'm concerned about more than high-end specs. This is pretty much the only good looking Sense UI Android phone that isn't the size of a house. And it is quite a bit faster than Aria.

300 Eur for 5800 is really quite a lot, it´s a good phone. But the prize in here is more reasonable 190e, which is still quite much compared to it's age.

Where is the LED flash even the Wildfire has that and what's with the high price, seriously this phone may have a nice design but it's a major fail on other levels >_

I never really understand the point of buying mid-range handsets when you could just buy last years high end handsets for cheaper and better specs

Too pricey for what you get. At this rate you are better off getting something high end isntead.
