Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc preview: First look

10 January 2011
Sony Ericsson is back at it and they are pushing pedal to the metal with their latest unusually curved and unusually streamlined sports car – the XPERIA Arc. I've had this phone for 3 years and never ever had an issue! The camera takes sharp pics in
Good lighting, the battery lasts a day plus with heavy use. The look is amazing. I can't think of a reason to upgrade except for the missing face camera for skyping. A very satisfied customer!
I wish the z series phones had a similar look.

I am a ambassador for Sony Ericsson and have a arc from them and I must say I have not seen a phone which takes excellent photos even in poor lighting conditions.
Another positive about the phone is the HDMI cable provided with the phone which allows me to connect my phone to the TV and play 'Angry Birds' yes 'Angry Birds' on my TV as well as watch the photos and movie clips recorded.
It's a awesome phone and no wonder it has won awards for its camera.

I am currently iPhone 3G user,
I have been considering Sony Arc or the iPhone 4
                  I read this comparison:

I wonder if it is worth it...

I want to find out if this phone can be turned sideways to make the message keyboard keys bigger, I know the sony x 10 does but I can't find out if this phone does, I would like to know ...its annoying to see only half of what the phone does.

I went around town trying to lay my hands on the Arc to see if it is as good as the specs says. But sadly, no one was able to say when it'll be available in Singapore. So it is released anywhere in the world ? Has anyone bought and tried out the Arc yet ? How do you find the camera ? Is the audio as good as SE's high end "walkman" phones ?

I believe that they will add video call camera in the final version of this phone. I just don't see a reason for that hole next to the proximity sensor on the front of the device.

GSMarena should make comparison of Sony Ericsson's Exmor-R sensor and Samsung's backlit sensor to Nokia N86's variable aperture. Lets see who will win!
