21 January 2011
It’s no surprise that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is the next logical evolutionary step, rather than a complete makeover that will propel it into the same league as the iPhone and Android. RIM has a loyal core of customers...

Why it should have FM radio? FM radio on a cellphone is so yesterday. Is it really important these days? If you really have spare time, you wouldn't listen to the radio, would you? You'd check your emails, or browse the internet.

BORING,BORING,BORING!!....And y the same CPU ? and also y the same look ? I mean the camera is not at all that important in the corporate world so y did they even bother upgrading it ? I hope they have something better in-store for this new year but as for this 9780 for me it's a NO thanx.

In am presently based in Indonesia - the BB is extremely popular with men and women alike, business or not business orientated. In fact these phones sell like hot cakes. If you are doing business you must hace a BB because it works and its reception is second to none. Who ever uses the gimmics on other phones in any case. If you travel a lot and you have to rely on email and connectivity the BB is a must. In Indonesia my prepaid card menas I have less that 60 cents per day unlimited downloads. Price is why everyone has these phones. The BB plan is very cheap compared to the rip off in Australia.

how it could be a compact phone
              its not slim
              its wide 60 mm
so its not compact at all
as usual for bb the same shape just drop more extra mega pixel to the camera
i dont know why people like bb any way

The conclusions to the review very firmly underline that RIM must not wait until Q3 to bring out Storm 3 and Torch 2. These phones are needed now. Why would someone go onto a ocntract now for a phone which will be obsolete before half the term is up. Loud collective voices may bring launch dates forward, and this is where forums such as this have a part to play. The power is in the hands of the consumer.
