Also depending whether or not you want a huge phone or a regular size phone because the S3 is massive compared to the ace 2 . I myself am looking to buy the Ace 2

It s... more@WinAndLinuxTutorials: i'm tempted to get either one, because they two each have equal amounts of pros and cons. The S-Advance's pro is a Ace-2's con and vice-versa. The S-Advance has a slightly-larger screen (4 inches versus 3.8) but the Ace-2 is TFT versus the S-Advance's AMOLED (which i'm reading in several places (including several places online) that it can suffer from "burn-in" like on the ol' Plasma screens :-P ). the S-Advance has a larger built-in memory than the Ace-2 but both cellphones can use up to 32GB microSD cards. both can be upgraded to Android Jelly-Bean. the S-Advance has a slightly-higher-clockspeed processor than the Ace-2, but both perform well [and are not slow, laggy, and/or have freezing [issues]] according to reviews. the S-Advance has a slightly-higher resolution frontal-facing camera than the one on the Ace-2. both have pretty much equal amount of pros and cons, and like i said, a corresponding feature on one cellphone that is a con is a pro on the other cellphone.
so i really don't know which one to pick. (and the price difference on Amazon is only like [an average of] 30 to 80 bucks ($40 price-difference between the seller on Amazon from whom i'd buy the Ace-2 and from whom i'd buy the S-Advance).
which do you suggest i get, if you had to pick just one or the other? and, is it really true what i've heard about OLED (including AMOLED) screens, that they burn in? never heard that about OLED screens until i started reading about them. (but when i first heard about the technology and first started reading about it (the technology) supposedly "burn-in" wasn't going to be a problem), does the extra processor-clockspeed in the S-Advanced versus the Ace-2 really make a difference in the cellphone's performance (especially when you're multitasking or browsing the web or checking your email or doing several things at the same time on it (like checking your voice-mail using the speakerphone while at the same time using the cellphone's address book; just as an example)? which cellphone gives you more "able to be used by the cellphone-user" internal storage? the S-Advance or the Ace-2?
by the way, my current cellphone is a Nokia E5.

kent, 03 Oct 2012the front camera can be use in skype video calling?yes, have used the samsumg galaxy ace2 myself for skype - it works great. You can also switch between front and back camera whens skyping if you want to show something else. great feature

in my country you can get the xperia P for only $50 more than the ace 2 so I would never get the ace 2. even the xperia u is better and that's a bit cheaper than the ace 2.

Galaxy Ace is a low end phone, many better phones can be found in this price range. I personally dont recommend the Galaxy Ace except if you are using it for quick checkups and light games. It will do well, but Galaxy Ace is way overpriced. Go with something like Galaxy Mini 2 or Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman instead.
Galaxy Ace 2 is one which I would definitely recommend to anybody who does play games which have a medium resource usage (although it is said it can run plenty of games without a problem) and surf the web. It has a videocall camera, a 0.8 GHz dual core CPU which does a good job, a very good battery life, and the best thing is its price, it is selling for a cheap price in my country. The Samsung Galaxy S advance is also a very good one for a bit more than the Ace 2's price.
S3 can be for people who do all kind of heavy tasks on their phone. It is far better than Ace 2 but Ace 2 wont let you down if you use it for what I mentioned.
I would choose the Ace 2 because it is a balance between the price and performance. Anyway it's your choice. :-)
