Oppo Find 5 review: Oppo-lent screen

6 February 2013
Oppo is perhaps better known for its Blu-Ray players, but if the Find 5 fails to place it on the map as a phone maker, we don’t know what will. The 5” 1080p screen will sure have plenty of eyeballs on it and its 441ppi density will certainly impress most...

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2013"There were a few crashes, however. They didn't happen... moreThe Xperia Z,it's closest competitor is £530. That's like $800. How is that not cheaper?

To me, looks good, but I dont know the brand, and no LTE is not possible now after iPhone 5 speeds.

Abhijit, 06 Feb 2013No. It is based on ARMv7. Just like other cortex-a9To be fair, Cortex-A15 is also based on ARMv7.

Suddenly my 1080p computer monitor has the worst pixel density.

This phone may never come to the UK. British people never buy a smartphone from a Chinese brand unless its rebadged as another brand (usually a network carrier). Such a shame! Consumers deserve more choice!

Perhaps it doesn't seem to be such a good idea after all
My previous gen galaxy note or the s3, LG optimus g and 4x are good enough

Does any know yet the prices for the Sony Xperia Z's? ...I'm really not sure if it's worthwhile to wait for those, if they will cost 2x more then the Opoo Find5.

Might be handy to state what was the experience like with actually making calls - was it loud and clear, good reception on both ends, good noise cancelling etc?

"There were a few crashes, however. They didn't happen too often, but still Oppo should work on those." :)

"Also, the jump from 300+ ppi to 400+ ppi pixel density isn't as spectacular as the first "Retina" displays were, but that's a problem shared by all 5" 1080p flagships." thank you for clearing that out

It seems inevitable that sooner or later we'll all be buying a phone from a previously little known company from China - be it ZTE, Huawei or Oppo...aaaaahhh, NO, unless there isn't a choice anymore:), sorry but $570 or $500 is not that cheap comparing to other flagships

Nice looking phone with superb display and good specs. Still going to see what the GS IV has to offer before upgrading from my GS III.
