Sony Xperia Z preview: First look

had pre-ordered the xperia z from Jumbo in Dubai. I got the phone yesterday. Was rather dissapointed when the phone kept on over heating near the speaker and at the back top half of the phone. I went back to the dealer and they readily replaced it on the spot.
Regret to inform, I am facing the exact same heating issue with the second unit and will be going in for yet another replacement in another hour or so.
If this problem continues, will go back to galaxy note -2 OR HTC

Nice phone. It has great multimedia functiality. I reccomend to use ArkMC application to oget the most out of IT. With the help of this app you get access to all the media at home.

yasir, 17 Feb 2013battery test pleaseeee GSMArena.. Why battery test? . Go to sonymobile.com and see the battery improvements. It's a way improved with 2370mAh wich is big enough. This phone is fantastic. Go for it!!!

Final units are sent to reviewers and still no ips. Look at the photos of Z side by side with Butterfly, Note 2 and Ip5. Viewing angles are good.

I'm going to take this sony ericcson Z....my husband love the ericcson phones, since he started with his first contract he were haveing the Ericcson brand phone! Every time he upgrades he takes a Ericcson...thanks Sony Ericcson for the awesome phones....we take a lot of photo's for the insurance companies!

Still in quad core processor sony can offer much better apps for example rendering hdr image for video record. I wonder maybe that brand with upcoming octa core will have it to cause i dont see any revolution thru their current quad core processor... :-)

AnonD-100382, 15 Feb 2013you know there's an app in play store for AC3 codecs right?... morethen download vlplayer. it plays everything even on my GingerBread lenovo device. you can't really say smartphones can brag about software enhancements nowadays because there are apps that can easily fill the void. hardware advantages are the ones that tend to make the edge for most smartphones.

AnonD-69408, 15 Feb 2013Well for the build it is really obvious that XZ is the best... moreunfortunately, samsung does not have to copy. they just need to tweak the software side because sony is supplying them the exmor rs camera sensor. sony is the source of camera sensors for many smartphones these days.

Samsung is playing mind games and I can't believe that I fell for it. Quality is way better than quantity.

the last SE phone i use is K750i and after using motorola, nokia, and samsung. I think my next phone will be xperia Z
