16 April 2013
The Lumia 520 completes the roll call for Nokia’s second generation of Microsoft-powered smartphones. Statistically, this means that every step of their product line, from 5** all the way to 9**, has been backed up by a fresh WP8...

You completeley forgot to mention that the 520 doesn't have NFC, while all other X20 Nokias have. I think it is worth a mention in the cons list.

AnonD-58540, 17 Apr 2013i read some of the dumb comments here, dat a chinese entry ... moreYou should look at 620. I love the color lines they produce. And it's better than the 520. It got FFC, NFC. But it has smaller Screen (3.8 vs 4.0 )...

X, 17 Apr 2013I don't think "entry level" smartphones make much... moreIf I get a phone for INR 10,000 ..which has a dual core 1 GHz cpu & 512 mb of RAM ....why would I buy an android of INR 30000+ which would be unusable within 4-5 months...because within a month there will be another android phone with bigger specs .....
I change my phones once a year ....so it's great for me..
........and if releasing another version of an OS means those phones are unusable which hasn't get that update yet .....then sony xperia z and htc one are still unusable :D

I don't think "entry level" smartphones make much sense. If people are too poor to buy a midrange smartphone with a contract, for sure they are too poor to afford paying for apps, and I even doubt they have a car or that they travel to far places where they might need the navigation. And to be honest, how many times in life you bought something "cheap" that was worth the money? What Nokia does, is just selling disposable phones. At 512 MB of Ram they will be usable for maximum a year. Add into the equation the "other" problem of the WP8(MS is too busy with WP9 to work on it), and you'll have an unusable phone within a month.

i read some of the dumb comments here, dat a chinese entry level vid dual core processor witn the same price is good or lg is good or etc etc..... This time nokia has really nailed the android to the ground, u get a 4” screen a set of nice custome apps , a budget windows phone with superior quality. For this price its a steal , i m planning to buy eos when it arrives in india , but god knows if i really wanna njoi windows fr sometime myt buy this masterpiece..... Its really gud that if u exclude mmx , lava and carbon no other company gives a decent package at that price and after sales service of nokia is best. . Good comeback nokia u won a foe like me......cheers

ian, 17 Apr 2013To android fanboys, what android phone in these price range... moremy android phone starmobile astra is around 7000php (170$) only, it is dual core and has both front and back camera, though it is not krait, but still it is fluid enough for an entry level phone, and as a bonus, it is dual sim and has a built in tv functionality.

It even beats s3 in some benchmark, its a bonus, and before you compare that the other is better than this, compare the PRICE, not compared compare a $200 phone to $300 phone
