You can use it in the pool or a lake, I don't believe the ocean is what it was intended for, who goes scuba diving with their phone anyways, and if you do, they make cases for certain phones for scuba diving.

I have just as much right to comment here as everyone else.
And Duh I'm a Samsung fan. That doesn't make me a sheep to them or mean that I'm not a Sony fan or fan of most technology here in general. Samsung is obviously just generally ahead in many departments.
And I never claimed to be a know it all or hinted to it or even acting like it. I just know certain facts.
And you're in the wrong page for the LG 13MP thing. And the way that person was going on was not just to simply say that.

Hey gsmarena, can tou try having this phone submerged in salt water and see how long it would last. I had a motorola defy and swam with it at the beach. It started fluctuating after an hour and didnt want to power up properly anymore after that. I know that the defy can only sustain being in the water for less than 30 min. I hope that the s4 active can stay in salt water for hours.

When someone says LG was first to use 13mp sensor and they said sony already used it they probably just meant that LG did it before Samsung .

Jest, 14 Jun 2013I don't consider LCD instead amoled as downgrade. More like... moreWell that's up to you, but probably only because of what you see other people say. Contrary to what people say Amoled is not cartoonish or less detail.
And in natural mode it's almost the same as LCD, but with true black and proper white balance making it overall more natural.

Xperia screens are not the one to pit against...especially tft ones. And Bravia tv is not the pinnacle of Tv quality.

This will be priced around 35k here in India and regular S4 is around 37k.
Best part similar specs like S4.
also cpu is snapdragon instead of exynos(in regular s4 here in india)which is good since exynos is not that power efficient as seen in the test results.
8MP camera is ok since it has same sensor as galaxy S3...so wide FOV while video recording unlike regular s4 and pretty good camera too.
I can sacrifice amoled for LCD since it would be much brighter and less power consumption while web browsing.
the feel will be premium and solid unlike plasticky feel of regular S4.....also different colors would be introduced in the future.

Triluminous will be more accurate than current Xperia screens. We know the display quality of bravia TVs . That is likely to be reflected in this new display .

LCD's already claim full or near 100% while the latest Amoled is capable of being within like 5% of the same level while still showing black and having a more appropriate white balance. in turn making it technically more overall accurate.
And it's contrast may be improved, but it still is LED and still lacking contrast.
