After having used the Mega 6.3 for 2 days now I can honestly say it is a fantastic phablet. It may have mid range specs on paper but in the hand it is a premium device which is fast and the screen is excellent. I have had an S3 and a Note1 and this is better than both. This phablet is so good you will not need a separate tablet and phone. You do not miss the stylus and I downloaded a non-polaris office suite which works much better than my nexus 7 I recently sold. The Mega 6.3 is a Great product!

lee, 20 Jun 2013its called the s3 or s4 miniye, but s4 mini = worse cpu, worse gpu, worse display... not a high end phone and 4,3 is the max so S4 mini is not so mini ;)
I would like to see a 4" phone with high end cpu, ram, gpu, display in a premium quality body not in a cheapy plastic one

as Nexus 4 and Acend mate have 2 GB Rams and quadcore processors and pricing range around Rs.26K. with big screens and good GPU's and O.S. as JB's
Where as samsung high end phones which are above 30K have same specs. So I think samsung will not introduce any mega phone series in the above given specs otherwise sell will drop for S4 and others.
Once the project cost will be reocovered by samsung, prices of S4 and other mobiles will be droped like they did for other phones earlier.

Android phones are never been so stronger nor bigger,I'm afraid at what size android phones will end up I think 4'' will be perfect size

because its cheaper in manufacturing costs
aluminum on the other side is cheap as raw material yet so costly to manufacture and paint and such

The processor and resolution is mid range. Not the Lte, Bluetooth, IR port 3200 mAh battery. The real estate is also highend. I wonder if 1.5 GB ram is doing justice. I have seen 1 GB ram phones are slow and hang with the latest software and apps. All phablets now are standard 2 GB. If samsung could make this also in 6.3 it would be nice. 2 GB ram would be preferable. I have galaxy grand and want to upgrade to 6.3 but seeing 1.5 GB ram I find it difficult to decide whether to go for this or Note II.

In my Country, it's Pre Order Price would be at IDR 5,499,000 (USD 550.00) for SGM 6.3 & IDR 4,499,000 (USD 450.00) for SGM 5.8. I do love the SGM 6.3 but not for its price. Prefere SX SP then....

Plastic price is aro... moreHeres an example again. My child bought toy set, it cost less than $1, many parts, made of plastic. How much would i cost if made of aluminum? Any reason why toys are made of plastic, if plastic is so expensive?
When my nephew was 2 years old the one thing he wanted over everything else was a pedal tractor. Too bad there was no cheap aluminum models available, i bet your kids have several of those, since they are so cheap i mean. My nephew had to settle for an expensive plastic model, i guess they didnt eat that month, very sad.

Samsung already admitted they use plastic because its fast and cheap to manufacture plastic parts, aluminum requires expensive molding or machining to be useful, and it is not pure aluminum in most cases. Why dont you contact some of the bigtime aluminum part manufacturers in Norway and see if anyone can sell you aluminum cellphone chassis at $1.8 per kg? I know you will not because noone is that dense in the top floor, not even you
