In my country, the price of note 3 is $788 while the LG G2 only $607.. That was quite expensive for note 3, besides note3 and g2 not much different in specs.. I'll just wait until z1 released to my country and compares it price as well..

Rather co... moreSamsung never gave the name phablet to the Note series, its just a nickname people gave because of the very large screen but in a very compact body. In fact, it was Samsung intention for the Note to just be called a phone but with the advantage of a small tablet also. So the Note series are meant as an offering to give you the best of both worlds. That's why now, there's actually no phone can avoid from being compared to the Note 3, not iphone and especially not Z1 nor the HTC phones.

This is what I have in my pocket every day(Note), same as you have iPhone in your pocket . What is the difference? Should I buy iphone 5s or Note 3 now. How they compare???? Yes compare. You brows, and watch movies and youtube, read , navigate and so on. Me too. So which one?
For me- Definitely Note 3. The most productive and beautiful smartphone today.

Thanks for such an extensive review. I'm waiting on pins and needles for my Note 3 to be shipped. When I was waiting for the Note I have now, it was six months from launch in Berlin until it started to get shipped in the states. When it arrived, I thought it was perfect. Couldn't imagine ever needing another phone because how could they improve on this! so here I am once more, can't wait to upgrade so I get multi-tasking, dual window, faster, more functions for the S-pen, and it seems to be taking forever but at least I know it won't take six months! I appreciate knowing the ways it can organize apps. Seems like maybe this will be the last phone I'll ever need.... until I can upgrade when the Note 5 comes out.....

The smartest thing till this time. There are other phone, they are hardware giants, packing all latest powerful specs, but smart features are only made by Samsung... every S-Pen feature is so much new, so much innovative, so much user-friendly, This is the real king :-D

Should have uploaded the video samples to Vimeo instead of Youtube. Youtube can't handle high resolution vids as well, and causes some decrease in quality. Regardless the samples look nice

You also say that the Note 3 is so similar to the Note 2 & 1 and the iphone 5s isn't since it has the scanner. Do you even know just how ridiculous that sounds? Lol The Note 3 has bigger screen with slimmer, thinner and lighter body and leather-ish back but the resolution has gone from hd to full hd, that's twice the pixels! While iphone 5S didn't even add 0.01 inch on their tiny screen and not even a single pixel more than the previous one. Can you please tell me again just what part of the Note 3 that is so similar to the Note 2 compare to the 5S to the 5? And please don't even mention that useless scanner again, will you? Jeez!

i just want to say there is a mistake about audio bit rate in 2160P mode It's 192 kbps bit rate NOT 127 kbps

If you are into gaming that much. Just get a game console. Even if this phone has the power to play all games on the planet. It will use up most of the battery which makes it impossible to do other things needed. let's get real guys.. we all want an HDTV, PSP, PC, all in a device. Samsung is trying to do that every single year. This is so boring. This is a waste of time. "oh this phone is an HDTV, PSP and a Multitasking PC combined... SO WHAT?" Battery life? any more innovation Samsung?

Like a company would hide so many goodness in a phone and not use it as a selling point? These things don't make me buy their phones i'm sorry. at the end of the day Note 3 looks just like a Note 2 and Note 1. On the other hand the iphone 5s just needed Touch Id... it is already paving a big future of possibilities.... touchID and passcode together makes everything so much more secure. and touchID will save me from remembering half of the passwords i have to remember. This alone beats the X core processor, 4K video, USB 3, advance stylus etc all the crab. You think companies cannot add those into a phone? Apple, HTC, NOkia, Sony, Blackberry can easily do it.

I will never understand why people are so excited about hardware specs...in the end, it only matters what you can do with a phone, and how easy you can do it and how portable is it.
Why will I need 4 cores running at 2.5 GHz on an Android device ?!! To run what ?!! Google Chrome ?! Facebook ?!...a movie ?! mp3s ?! What is that I can only run on 8 cores and couldn't run on 2 cores at 1.2 GHz ?!!
Only things that comes to my mind are games !!
But if all you want is to play while on the road, why buy an Android device ?!
Have you seen the games available only on Apple's AppStore ?! There is no comparison.
Or better yet, why not buy a PSP ?! It's way cheaper and the games are light years from what's on the PlayStore right now.
So I fail to see the purpose of continously increasing computing power on androids....but maybe I am missing something...
Also multitasking on a phone... but that's another topic ! ;)
