Samsung Galaxy Fit3 debuts with big screen, 13-day battery life

Yordan, 22 February 2024

After numerous leaks, many from the Korean company itself, Samsung finally made the Galaxy Fit3 official today. The latest wearable brings a larger screen, long battery life and some new feature. The long-awaited successor of the Fit2 will be up for sale around the globe starting tomorrow, February 23, but Samsung did not disclose any pricing.

The Fit3 comes with a 1.6" AMOLED display, which is 45% bigger than the predecessor. It has a single button on the right side and a one-click quick-release mechanism for the band. Sadly, the band does not have wireless charging, its proprietary charger using two pogo pins at its base.

The Fit3 is the first device in the series that supports Fall Detection and Emergency SOS, as the latter is triggered after five rapid presses on the button. Once you do that your location will be shared with emergency contacts that you've set beforehand.

Samsung claims the Galaxy Fit3 can go 13 days on a single charge with its 208 mAh cell. It helps that the wearable has no Wear OS or any other heavy interface, just some simple mini apps, Calendar, Weather, World Clock, and sports tracking.

The Fit3 supports over 100 types of workouts, but the device lacks GPS, so any activity involving movement in the open would require a paired smartphone for better tracking. The wearable also tracks sleep patterns, steps, and stress levels; all that info is visible in the Samsung Health app.

The Galaxy Fit3 will be sold in Gray, Pink Gold, and Silver colors. Samsung will launch the device first in Asia, Europe, Central America and South America, while the United States and Korea should get it in the near future.
