does this phone allow you to use mp3's as alert tones ie text message alert i know it has mp3 ringtone but theirs a specific quote i like to have my phone say when i recieve mail (any eurotrip and mr tee fans in here :P) lol and if it does i am so buying this phone i have seen it in real life and pictures dont do it justice sure im disapointed no 2mp camera and its design has gone down since e730 but the memory card slot and mp3 buttons have got me hooked since i just broke my ipod

Got this phone yesterday, package comes with 256mb T-Flash card. all a-ok at the moment, the slimmest flip phone for samsung.
prob is that for MP3, you cant use vibetonez which i personally feel is the similar product to Motorola E398. Anyone care to solve this?
you can switch off the power on/off tones if i am not mistaken, even you can choose 2 types of tones for it!.
erm...my question is, this phone has an AV out port, but did not bundle the cable into the phone. is this true?
a first time user of samsung phones, and i am hooked!

Yes it can ring and vibrate at the same time,in fact it has an optional vibetonez thing where it can vibrate to a ringtone so even when its silent you know who it is! on loud mode it can ring and vibrate too. Hope this helps.

I got this phone today, and it is a definite 10 out of 10, it is amazing. It is so thin, and light, and the camera is fab! The two colour screens are great, especially as you can have a different photo on the front to on the inside! It looks so expensive, with dark and light silver on the outside and gorgeous black inside. The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see it in real life. No fm radio, but come on, hav samsung ever had fm radios on their phones? If you want a radio then buy one! This phone is so cute and I think its the best phone out there right now, so if anyone is thinking of buying it, do because it rocks!!!

is 4 mp3s and the fast downloads ucan make with edge and 1.3mp camera

it is pathetic this mobile does not have bluetooth how cheep can this be!
and no fm radio and no speaker so where is all the basics that must be in every mobile that has a card expantion??

This phone simply owns. It has all functions you can dream of (except Radion FM) ^^

I see some complaints about branded phones, and my advice is simple. Just dont buy branded mobiles if you can avoid it. I just hate the fact that some vendors, Orange and T-mobile being two of the worst, mess up the operating system with their own crap menus and sounds, stay well clear folks. This phone doesnt look too bad, but not enough of a difference for me to upgrade from E730.

I received the e770 from t-mobile (UK) yesterday. Doesn't feel as good quality as the e720 - the keypad in particular is a bit plain plastic.
However, what's really annoying me is that despite having the sound settings to silent for everything it still blurts out the t-mobile anthem on power on/off, and makes an annoying and very 90's sounding beep when you press a key that doesn't do anything (or in fact when you turn the phone off). My old e700 could be put to completely silent mode for everything. Does anyone know how to turn these sounds off (presume it needs a sim upgrade or something?), otherwise its going back.

how is the battery life of your e770?? How many days does it last?? Can you make long calls, like 30 minutes conversations a day without losing half of you battery life?? TNX!

i have just bought my samsung sim free and its ace, battery Li-ion polymer what ever that mean, (just tryin to answer questions from earlier post) no micro sd came with it and the max it can run is 512mb cos thats all there is. battery...CHARGE IT FIRST!!!! trust me!!!
any problems just let it run out and charge it for bout 16h while its off.. this works.
