It says the chip is SC9863A, but all evidence points to this phone using a Mediatek chip.

The best trade offs too make for budget phones
Is too focus on getting the highest amount of ram for lowest possible price and save money and use plastic build and 1 camera
720p 60hz screen is fine
camera best place to cut costs
Batteries need to ok size
Storage is important
I do hope Samsung budget phones have lots of ram at low price point
Am wondering what will the budget competitors have from realme Xiaomi Nokia HTC TCL Alcatel umidigi
I want high ram amount too become standard on budget phones

I dont really mind the 720p screen with 60hz refresh rate because this is an entry level phone to begin with, but the micro USB port is kind of sucks.

Saving money on the cameras would be fine, but this thing has micro usb and a 720p 60hz lcd display.. what did they not sacrifice? This phone is completely pointless.. get a refurbished S9+ or S10 instead, they cost about the same as this.

I am impressed with samsung entry level. it doesnt feel cheap as other android entry level feel cheap in software but samsung ONE UI core is very nice. I am curious to know about A04 8GB version how is going to perform. Put gaming aside buy rest is good enough.

Having fewer lenses is great. I hope the A54 and A74 series also have two lenses. This is the best situation.

I would never buy it as it's just entry level, and judging from Samsung's other entry level phones, I think it'll be way less value than say any entry level Xiaomi or other Chinese phones. Also, judging from the specs sheet, it's just a minimal improvement over the a03. It's got 50mp instead of 48, and there are more storage/RAM varients. However, it's screen to body ratio ia worse.
