As of 16th/August/2022 it's a pretty good phone for something brought out in 2017.
        *Pros are
+A high quality camera for photos & filming HD videos
(Has extra's like adding stickers cool lil things for photos, making GIFS, ect.)
+High Storage (Even without the microSD) I had hundred's of songs, pictures, Apps, vids, it worked well.
+Fast Charging Supported, link youtube to your tv, Android isn't too outdated still runs Twitter, Grindr, Reddit, FB, (All my necessary apps), Nice Glass screen dosn't feel plastic, Great display when viewing videos.
+If you're an android nerd like me well great news you can R00T this phone like i did eaisly so you can run special apps, run custom OS, remove factory apps, ect. (Lovely).

        The CON
-The major flaw is like most "Newer" or "SmartPhones" they make the battery In built.
Since I bought mine secondhand the battery would randomly drain super fast 90 to 5 in 2 mins. I had a damaged battery. Called Samsung those mob told me "You Can't replace the battery we won't repair this either even if you paid us it's built in we simply cant" that's a LIE! I went to a random mobile repair store (Third party unrelated to Samsung) they replaced the battery for 79 AUD in 20 mins. The battery is now lasting for many hours no issues.
Not just Samsung but ALL of them just want us to buy more expensive phones, throw out older ones out as soon as the battery gets damaged or runs out of it's very short life cycle. Don't listen to em go to a random no brand name repair shop, they'll fix your battery cheaper then buying a new phone. Big company's only make these battery's inbuilt, the lifecycle so short so they can profit while you go broke. Also as said be careful with smartphone battery's they damage so eaisly if you do basic things like leave them on over night or overcharging. Man miss older gen phones.. all in all great phone for 100AUD but pet pev is the battery easily damaging.

Still runs great. I bought Xiaomi Mi lite NE 5G but sold it and return to this.
It has so much better display, I can't believe what they put into newer phones...

I have this phone for 5 years and it works very good. It dropped countless times, and never broke. Only error is with charging the phone because it only support slow charging (but it became problem only few months ago)

All in all, fantastics phone, bit dissapointed that nowadays it's hard to find such price/quality ratio.

Swt midrange phone, good camera and battery and portable

This phone was the proper premium midranger during its time, serve me really well for past few years until the faulty screen and burn. Fixing an AMOLED screen cost quite expensive in my place here, so I opt with purchasing another Samsung phone after that. Galaxy A5 (2017) seriously underpowered for current crop of midranger that's available now, but I wish Samsung make this kind of midranger again. Nice and clean aluminium/glass build (that's where the premium midrange vibe is), fan-favorite 3.5mm headphone jack and SD slot, decent battery size(for its time) and battery-focused SoC.

been using it for almost 5yrs now and so far its still in ok/usable condition altho with several times dropped. defects i had were mine has no vibration since i first bought it(didnt realised when first buying at shop, but no big issue on this). started experience bad lagging this year, im no gamer. but battery last very long if u use only for basic needs, social medias insta fb etc. but youtube videos will drain fast. charging takes maybe about 2hrs and it rlly does charge fast. ard 1hr can charge up to 50-60% when wifi/data turned off. however, i once brought phone into pool and yeah that was dumb, it had my touch screen sensitivity bcome lower at bottom part, so now i have difficulty to type on the keypad. however luckily other stuff still functions well. camera wise, has good resolution, no complains if youre average user of camera. but i dont favour the part where it has the lag/pause between taking 1 picture and another picture. so far im really satisfied with it i'd give 4.2/5 i guess.

still using its been 4 years in april and the phone is completely fine softwarely. i got a few problems first is that you have to power button so hard to open/close it, second is battery drains so fast especially when you open the phone new and its charge is around 20-40, the third problem i have is the back of the phones glue is now gone by 1/3. but it has good ways too. it has pretty good camera for what it costed, its a pretty though phone it has ip68 and steel frames and a glass back. it still performs quite well thinking its a 2017 phone which also heats but not hot as it could burn your hands. It feel like tons of times and biggest thing happend is just stratches around the screen but the screen still works perfectly fine. I mean there also some on the frames but it still is fine. but like the first time you get it its 3000mah battery works extremely fine

I've had this phone since fall 2017 and it's preformed beautifully until lately...the charge port is buggy and the battery is dying quite fast. I took it to a shop here in Surrey, BC CA and they told me they don't warranty the charge port repairs on this phone due to the charge port being directly connected to the mother board. Looks like I'll be needing another phone unfortunately...this phone has served me very well, hate to part with it.
