great phone i like it my first phone still works kind of well problem is only 8gb or ram on my phone was quite little but great phone looks very good. Also very small could easily fit in my pocket.

Today i checked this phone and found most indian banking apps are not working except google pay as android version is old and new applications are not supported.
R.I.P. J2 2015 soon coming.
What's app, maps, fb lite, youtube etc. are working till today.
Those who want to get old phones please don't buy this now as this phone is now completely worthless even with 1000 INR.

I still use this to view youtube videos offline.
Google play store, Google play service both gets update till this month.
Most daily useful apps still run on this mobile but some don't also.
Performance is not smooth because of 1 GB RAM.
Storage does not mean much as out of 8 GB around 4 GB is usable and during usage of other apps it drops as usal.
For my device around 2 GB internal memory stays free.
If internal storage goes below 1 GB it starts to show warning but that warning can be dismissed.
But if internal storage goes below 500 MB then another warning pop up which can't be dismissed and stays active in notification bar.
I use a 16 GB SD Card on this device which gives around 15 GB usable storage.
So storage is not issue for me as i store offline videos on SD Card and watch them later.
I replaced the original battery and use a different non samsung battery which is 2000mah/8 watt hour capacity and gives around 7 hour screen on time if i watch offline youtube videos.
Screen on time varies on different app usage.
Some mkv files put pressure on the processor and drains battery way faster.
On that case i get around 3 hour screen on time.
So, i don't play mkv files on this device anymore.

Well some apps are now unsupported like some banking apps and upi apps except Google Pay.
Ola, where is my train, amazon, metro, whats app etc are still working.
Chrome don't get new updates but play store and play services get updates.
I am keeping this phone cause it was my college days phone and is still usable.
Most of my daily used apps are still working on it, so still HODLing it as a back up.

J5 (2015) gave that HD AMOLED Display.
I still have this J2 (2015) which i used from 2015 - 2020 and it was running well as per with it's hardware limitation (hang, lag, low storage issues).
From 2020 onward, i am using a different AMOLED device but it don't have 5G.
Now i am unable to find a proper AMOLED mobile within the price range of 100 - 200 USD.

I didn't know this old cheap phone has AMOLED display. This is incredible, because low-end phone now, 99% uses LCD and it's awful.

I think this phone's #MadeinIndia. It plays DVDs via the external DVD drive (requires a USB adapter), making it a portable DVD player. It's also used for singing and playing musical instruments (such apps are required). That's why it's a weapon. So, winner winner chicken dinner!

My only issue with this phone was its 8GB internal memory, and 1GB RAM. Had I not run out of memory, this phone was as good as an iphone those days.
