Let alone it's 120 Hz and looks much better thank to matte glass.
HarmonyOS is also better. It's more optimized on battery usage and doesn't have bloat. Well MatePad 11.5 doesn't have EMUI Desktop mode, true, but you can install xfce, lxqt and so on. Without root software amount is limited though. Flatpaks and snaps won't work on HarmonyOS/Android without root.
No stylus, but It was coming with keyboard for free.

You can't just expect to throw more hardware at software problems and pretend that people forget about the issues that software is causing or otherwise not helping to resolve.
This is why iPads still sell like hot bread despite being underspec'd: Their software is usually superior and by far.
Sure, for a child whose only interest would be playing games and watching youtube, yes, the Pad 6 is the better option, but that person specifically stated they are a student and Samsung offering, while underspec'd, ironically still is a more capable and feature-rich device in regards to productivity.
So yet again, hardware is not everything. As a matter of fact, software is all that matters, since you can have very powerful chipsets, but if there is nothing that can dictate hwo to function, they are of no use.
In that same way, if you have quite limited hardware, but are clever while writting it's software, it can power a rocket that can take you to the moon.
In conclusion, no, the Pad 6 is not necessarily better than the S9 FE. In fact, I don't even think the S9 FE or FE+ are particularly wise choices when they downgrade on the USB speeds compared to the much cheaper and still capable S7 FE.

Hardware is useless without proper software, because software is all you'll be interacting with.
The fact that Xiaomi had the desktop mode for the Pad 5 but not only decided not to have a proper productivity interface of the likes for the Pad 6, but that many users report it does NOT work anymore on the Pad 5 is just jaw dropping.
If you're student, go for a Samsung tablet.

Ive been using the S9 Fe for 1.5 month's and has a similar use case for notetaking..some simple photo editing, classess and Netflix. Speakers seems sufficient on the Fe and Dolby atmos works well. S Pen with the software experience is really great. If you wish to play games its better you for the xiaomi

Should I take this or Xiaomi Pad 6? As a student, i need OneNote, and Netflix sometimes. i love the Xiaomi Pad 6's speakers, but S9 FE's software is more powerful from MIUI. Van you guys share your experience?

It also lacks Samsung DeX, and doesnt come with a stylus in the box.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2023Its a real masterpiece which i found very cool features.$530 for this? MatePad 11.5 is 2,5 times cheaper, yet better every way, except card slot. And MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte is twice cheaper - bigger and much better non glaring 120 Hz screen with better aspect ratio, with more powerful CPU and much more powerful GPU. I got it for $260 with keyboard case.

I'll pass on Xiaomi and Lenovo, though, they're usually very hard to find in shops (and when I find them, the hardware is slightly different from what I expect, like, a different screen, a different SoC and such, Samsung is much more reliable in that area, although it's usually not the best choice in terms of price).
The next best option was refurbished iPad Pro from 2017, which costs 50% more than new Xiaomi/Lenovo tablets, not sure who buys them at that price...

Amoled, 8/256Go, ... moreLenovo doesn't have the best support and it's services centre are not common and sumsung has already a great software better than lenovo's I would really recommend you to skip the the hardware bump and chose samsung for its reliability. I regret purchasing poco for its better hardware should have went with other options
