First i am not a fan of anybody . though i am favoured towards snapdragon if all other competitors offer same thing. i look for products that bring me the best performance for my money paid be it snapdragon/tegra/mediatek/broadcom
second sir i didn't said anything wrong and you are also not wrong just a difference of interpretation .
when i said snapdragon 400 doesn't supports 1080p i meant the quad core cortex a7 variant 8626,8226 ) since all these phones are quad cores. the snpdragon 400 in one mini or s4 mini is a dual core krait ( 8230 ) and not quad core cortex a7. i presumed since this phone carries quad core we were talking about quad core variants .
and then again i myself bashed videocore 4 gpu is my previous comment and said it is slower than adreno 305.. please re read.. i look things objectively . I hope you reply back it's good to have discussuions

You said snapdragon 400 can't record 1080p videos. You r wrong. Do u remember Samsung Galaxy S4 mini that has a Snapdragon 400 chip and it records videos at 1080p resolution.. You should use a phone with Snapdragon 400 chip to realize its power. What it can deliver.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2013There is no info or sign that samsung used newest Broadcomm... morehi good to talk to a knowledgeable person.. first it 100 % carries a broadcom cpu since this chipset supports 1080p playback so it is definitely not snapdragon 200/400 as moto g also does not supports 1080p.. msm8225q is impossible..
So tha leaves mediatek 6589 or bcm23550 , samsung does not uses mediatek so it is broadcom only the same chipset is used in galaxy grand 2 also..
Broadcom cpu supports it..
Regarding GPU , i know How fast adreno 305 is , it is actually a rebranded adreno 225 but
actually there are 2 variants of videocore 4 gpu
as per gfxbench site the videocore 4 gpu used in galaxy mega 5.8 is as powerful as adreno 305 hence i wrote adreno 305 is as powerful as videocore 4 maybe because of higher clocks.. but it turns out that bcm23550 is using the older videocore 4 or lower clocked one found in previous grand , s duos 2 , s2 plus..
how because bcm23550 has been also used in lava xolo 1000 and as per the benchmarks the gpu is equal to tegra3 = power vr of mediatek 6589 .. = adreno 220
so that means poor performance in gpu..
so there is nothing special left in for me in this phone i will be looking forward to Mediatek 6592 as the gpu in that chip is 60-70 % more powerful than adreno 305

Even if it is true, Videocore chip is not MATCH for Adreno 305 anyway.
Some people thinks Adreno 305 is a weak gpu but it is not.
Faster and stronger than Adreno 220 and 225, SGX 540/45/43 and Mali MP2 and Tegra3 and equalevant to mali MP4 and SGX544 (single)
I've found today, we both wrong cause bundled soc with this phone is Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8225Q, equipped Quad Cortex A5 cores.
Which means worser than MediaTek about CPU and GPU.
But, on the otherside faster wireless speeds: 3/4G and Wifi and good bluetooth also better audio and video, as well as Multimedia.
However, gaming experiences will be below mediatek soc.

samsung don't use mediatek they use broadcom

It seems to be powerless because some OEMs try to use it to power a Full HD screen.

Yes it is Pre-Historic because you can not play latest 3D games on your device with good fps, some times won't play at all.
Yes it has quad Cortex-a7 core, crippled A9 core :)
Performing good for basic applications, even for FullHD movies but expect not much.
Forget not: 3G speed, Audio quality and Wifi coverage are very below standarts with MediaTek chipsets, but these are very depend on the person who going to use, may you find good enough or best.
