In the past, the first indications (rumors, "leaks", certifications and such) started to emerge around three months before the eventual release. I don't think there has been anything like that yet, but an autumn or winter release could still work out.

I've got my S24 for a couple of days already and had the chance to compare the screen colour by viewing lots of portrait photos... to my surprise I like the skin colour rendering of XCover6Pro vs S24 in any colour settings. This proved my post here a few weeks ago that the PLS screen of XCover6Pro is the best PLS screen I've seen from my other Samsungs (Tab3Active, S6TabLite, 3x XCover5s, XCoverPro, XCover4s)... Also, I noticed PLS screens do not strain my eyes even if you used the it for a long hours during the nights... PLS screens also require less brightness during the nights.... another thing that surprised me when watching videos in YouTube is the dark screen of PLS on XCover6Pro is almost I hope Samsung continue to use the PLS screen... in terms of loudspeaker sound quality, the only advantage of S24 is its dual speakers... in terms of loudness with bass, XCover5Pro wins hands down... it's even louder than Tab3 Active speaker... if the coming XCover8 Pro will come with dual speakers of XCover6Pro, I will be happy to upgrade quickly...

It does exactly what it needs to to: screech louder than a jackhammer, even if it starts sounding kinda weird at those volumes. At any normal volume it sounds good, the bass is also commendably present. You can feel the phone rumbling very lightly if you play something bass-y. For my tastes it's not enough bass, there's never enough bass, but these results are good coming out of any speaker grille that small

everytime I hold other phones and try how good or crappy their loudspeakers are, I always come back to this phone and appreciate what an incredible loudspeaker it has... that is why I don't understand why somebody here a few weeks ago said that according to a review of this phone it has an average loudspeaker... to me this phone has the best loudspeaker out there... well balanced with a bit of bass... everytime I watch a video in youtube or listen to mp3 in loudspeaker in full volume I'm amazed how good the speaker of this phone is.

The selfie camera specs listed here in gsmarena should be corrected because it also records video in 4K@30fps. Not only in 1080p@30fps.

looks like the xcover 7 is keeping the non removable battery based on a cursory glance of my search results just to allay the fears expressed earlier so yippee theres still one last bastion of removable batteries in modern phones. now all they need to scratch every itch of mine is wireless charging

To be fair, Anonymous was talking of using DeX on the XCover6 Pro, i.e. its desktop mode, with an external monitor. This is a lot more like using an actual desktop computer, where you have multiple apps running in parallel, maybe a desktop level office suite, a VNC client to run remote sessions on other computers and so on. Some even install a full Linux distribution for use under DeX. 6GB is rather cramped if you want to utilize the full potential of DeX (not sure if 8GB would improve much, though).

I use my Xcover 4s since come on the market ages ago, and the multitasking work quite well over 3Gb of ram! If you load facebook, instagram, Viber and Whats up and similar application to work as background processes, and they use ram without any reason, sure will be f*ucking slow.. Not because the phone itself is bad but because the shit they are!
I`ve been using multitasking on motorola in the era of Windows Ce, and later on Symbian. And as you guess the CPU and ram where way low than now and worked perfectly.
Even you make it with 12 or 24Gb ram, shit application that eat resources for breakfast will work badly anyway..
Is other thing, that the phone itself should not be more than 320-350$/€ as price
