Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 tipped to feature a larger cover screen and up to 12GB RAM

Michail, 13 March 2024

Samsung put a 3.4-inch covers screen on last year’s Galaxy Z Flip5 which was a big upgrade from the Z Flip4 and Flip3’s tiny 1.9-inch panels. A new rumored spec sheet from reliable leakster @TheGalox_ suggests the upcoming Flip6 will get an even larger 3.9-inch outer screen. Moreover, the new rumor also suggests Gorilla Glass Armor protection for the updated cover screen.

Elsewhere, Samsung is expected to go with a 6.7-inch main screen and an improved hinge and internal layout with a bigger cooling system. The foldable is expected to get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM which would be the first time Samsung offers more than 8GB RAM on its Flip series.

The back will reportedly house a pair of sensors with a 50MP main cam alongside a 12MP ultrawide lens. Samsung will also offer its Galaxy AI features and 7 years of software and security updates just like on the Galaxy S24 series.

Flip6 is also rumored to get a 4,000 mAh battery which would be a welcome upgrade over the Flip5’s 3,700 mAh cell. Samsung is expected to announce its Flip6 at Galaxy Unpacked in July alongside the Fold6 and Galaxy Ring.

that is exactly my point. internal space to put chambers is the problem for flip phones. flip5 throttles much more than s23 with the same load and same chip. once they find a solution to heating, they can add DEX. it has all the hw to have it.
