25 July, 2014

Samsung has officially launched its mid-range Galaxy TabQ tablet in the Chinese land. The tablet will be compatible with China Mobile and China Unicom.

The Galaxy TabQ sports a 7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The tablet is powered by an unknown quad-core 1.2GHz processor and the company hasn’t specified the amount of RAM on board.

Samsung’s latest slate measures 191.8 x 99.7 x 8.9mm and weighs about 250 grams. The device features an 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front facing shooter, microSD card slot that supports expansion up to 64GB and 3,200mAh battery. Connectivity options of the TabQ include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS and 4G LTE.

The back of the Samsung Galaxy TabQ comes with the faux leather finish, which was first seen on the Galaxy Note 3.

Unfortunately, there is no word on the pricing details of the tablet. As for official availability outside of China – you probably shouldn’t hold your breath.
