Actually, after converting to .mp4 i still can't set as ringtone. Only after converting to .aac then it can be set. Try it. It work.

i actually use dBpowerAMP Music Converter http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm for all my audio converting ;P just download the first codec here http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm
OR - if you already use itunes/quicktime you may wnt to use the codecs down the page
Choose convert to .m4a (thats the audio track of mp4 files) then save the output as .mp4 file

You cant use mp3 as ringtone, but you can use mp4 as as ringtone. Download a converter or codec to change the file format.

Can't play mp3 as ringtone? The specs says it can. Can anyone confirm about this?

just got this phone today. camera , colour everythin is cool.. the imode is really really very fast.. is just like gprs==dial-up, imode==maxonline ultimate. but the only thing not good is that it cannot assign mp3 as ring tone... =(

ok wat is wrong wit samsung , dis fone is a complete copy of d e720 COMPLETLY
actually i'm wrong ... dis fone is 10 grams heavier, its slightly bigger and has a smaller memory!!!!!!!!!
maybe its a low bugdet fone...
personally i prefer d e720

The mp3 player serves as the video player (mp4)
Apparently you can use mp4 formats as ringtones. Yet to try.

the e720 is MP3,ACC,MPEG4 player and the s410i is only MP3,ACC player?? or is the same?
and the USB port??? s410i,has this??

with the BT I wasn't getting any problems
and you have Play/Pause, forwards and backwards keys
you have aninput to a spcial mic that i recived in the package for free
this mic ia a reasonable quality + but if you increasing the volume the sound is a bit discorsant

The diffrence between the s410i to e720 is the I mode browser support in the s410i and the camera improved to 1.3 mega pixel
