CES is nearly two months away, but the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has already announced its CES 2016 Innovation Awards. Samsung is boasting it won 38 of them in the categories TV, monitor, mobile, tablet, digital imaging, wearable, home appliance and memory.

Some of the products that won awards include the Gear S2, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy View tablet as well as the new ATIV Book 9 Pro. On the semiconductor side, the company has been recognized for its 128GB UFS 2.0 mobile memory, 12Gb Mobile DRAM and its 950 and 850 PRO series SSD.

The CES Innovation Awards program is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 27 product categories.

All of these products, and hopefully more, will get their time under the CES 2016 showfloor lights in the first days of January next year.

Apple won the award for the most innovative way in selling overpriced Chinese made phones. Well, you really got to hand it to them, no one beats them at selling.
