becoz branded companies using the processor what karbonn uses..
as all other Chinese companies using mediatek processor?

wewin, 29 Mar 2013I have a doubt, as i have brought this phone few days befor... moreBro.. there are 3 Series within Snapdragon S4 SoC series.. they are Snapdragon S4 Play, Snapdragon S4 Plus and Snapdragon S4 Pro. Almost all the latest Flagship Devices from Companies like Samsung and LG use Snapdragon 800 chipset. Snapdragon S4 Pro is used for high-ed devices which cost upward of Rs 25,000. Snapdragon S4 Plus is used for Upper-midrange phones priced between Rs 15,000-25,000. Snapdragon S4 Play is used in Lower-Mid and Lower-end Phones costing below Rs 15,000 by Companies like Sony, HTC, Samsung, LG, etc. Hence one should not compare phones on the basis on the name "Snapdragon S4", but should also consider which type of SoC of Snapdragon S4 series is used.

I mean how more do u expect w... moreJust wait for 1 more month, more quad-core phones based on MT6589 will be released in India which is a better and powerful SoC than the Snapdragon Play SoC used by Karbonn in this phone and Titanium S1.. checkout the comparison i have posted in this thread to get a better idea.. MT6589 based phones will give you bag-for-your-bucks. If you are in a hurry, checkout quad-core MT6589 based phones by Lava, Alcatel, BLU, Wicked Leak, iOcean, Jiayu, or wait till Q3 of 2013, you will get Sony phones based on MT6589.

Company like samsung,sony,htc sold their phones just by their brand value.how many people had done research b4 buying a phone in past year...they just went for a brand tag...nt the hardware they offered. But nw customer r getting smarter and dn't go for brand value but the better hardwares they r offering

M nt saying that wp8 is better than android...yeah i accept that wp8 is still behind android in terms of apps and custumisation. I was just comparing l720 features to its copetitors....and undoubtly 720 blow out its competitor in features.every1 has their own choice if u like android then it's ok.go with droid.

As windows they are still giving its best effort to become number one as a matter of fact it is not even giving a good competition to android OS.
but considering both i can say blindly windows OS is best but still android leads the race forever.

But let's give some time 2 wp8...b'coz it's just 1 year old n still under devlopment while android is almost 5 years old. Wp8 is the simple and user friendy ui. Wp8 is light and smooth os.

prek, 29 Mar 2013Hi tombraider, I have little dilemma in choosing the bes... moreIf u r nt ok with unknown chinease brand like gionee,zopo,umi,jiyau then simply go with lava xolo q800.although these chinease company r new n unknown for indian market but those r well known and established brand in china.company like gionee,jiyau,beidu r the OEMs(original equipment manufacturer) of indian company like mmx,karbon,lava,spice. Indian company only rebrand those chinease products.

Forgot to tell i ve gone thru GIONEE D1, found it quite interesting, only thing worried is about the service for the device.. currently available under 15k and l720 is about to hit store under 18k.l720 simply blow out all droids under 20k due to some unique feature like super sensitive touch(u can use phone even with gloves) and wireless charging that we've seen on nokia flagship devices(l920 and l820)...in adittition it comes with nfc,glonass,dual band wi-fi and last but nt least 6.7mp camera with car zeisus lens(car zeisus is the best lens) that will be best for low light photography.but window store has nt much apps and games comparing to androids. Nw considering android within ur budget mmx canvas a116 is good option but u can hardly find it under 16k due to huge popularity.although canvas hd official price is around 14k but dealers r charging upto 16k due to popularity and shortage of the stock.so u r unable to get canvas hd then u can pick up either lava xolo q800@12k or gionee dream d1@15.5k. Gionee dream d1 is way better than canvas hd,although trio(canvas hd,xolo q800 and dream d1) has same mt6589 powered hardware but there r a few differences in features.lets explore.... Gionee dream d1 sports hd super amoled plus display with corning gorilla glass2(scratch proof glass) that both(canvas hd and xolo q800) lack off. U can hardly find a smartphone with super amoled plus display under 25k b'coz its so costly.
