I have an Xperia 5 II and the custom rom support is so good at the moment. There are three really good roms with the latest Android versions, such as PixelOS, Elixir and Limeage OS that support this device officially. Those roms are more stable and usable than the stock one. Not to mention I started getting WAY MORE battery life with PixelOS. OTA updates also work, although a clean install might be required once Android 15 comes out, because Google is changing a lot of stuff.

Really good phone for its value if you install a custom rom. XDA developers has all the info you need.

Kujtim Zymeri , 25 Jan 2024Never true just never true. I am a Xperia user since 2003... moreThat's true. I've been a Sony user myself for 5 years now and they're the strongest devices I know. They're pretty much bullet proof. I've seen my friends' Samsung and IPhones die from just testing waterproof ability while I swim with my Sony everyday. Green lines and black spots are Samsung issues not Sony.

Do not buy this phone, 9/10 units have screen line issues which will never go away. You're better off buying Mark 3 or Xperia 1 Mark 2 at similar price.

Xperia never has green line issues.
You cant face this issue at 95% with oneplus devices and samsung too but never happens with a Xperia so stop hate. Stop it
I am using it 2 years now and everything is perfect no screen or heat issues. Nope.

I bought my phone in July of 2022 and in December of 2023 I got this green light. I came here and I saw that many people have the same issue.
I was considering buy a Xperia 1 IV, but I went to the comments and it seems to have even more issues…
