Has anyone updated to the new system update Ver 67.1.A.2.208? Please share your views if there are any improvements to the bugs, lags from the existing version of Android 14.

Sony please skip the Xperia 5 vI, till you have the snapdragon 8 generation four 3 nanometer as in iPhone 15. Secondly extend your android service and security to six years ahead

I have been using this phone for 1 month after researching aroud compact phones.
                        * Zenfone (-Medicore Camera for Price )
                        * Pixel 8 (+ best point and shoot camera, software, OS / - exnyos releated modem & battery issues, no 3.5 jack, no sdcard )
                        * S23/24 (- unstable 'punchy' cameras , bad battery life , stupid UI , No 3.5 jack No SDCard / + good design on hand )

Now, Xperia 5V is Stellar option expecting a little taller design but narrow sides compensates it, you need place your small finger on charging port to stretch thumbs to above of screen. Still usable on one hand.
                        Pros :
+ Flagship Sd8gen2 Chipset ( even Sd8gen3 not big deal)
+ Best Camera Hardware , Manual Softwares , True to life colors , 4k 120 video supports HLG, SDR and Cinetone. Every Video Captured with it own CinemaPro app looks like a movie. It allows to change focus manually while recording. Dedicated 48mm lens gives you natural portrait depth of field. Auto Mode does good job on many situations for point and shoot lovers
+ SD Card good for extend memory or backup files if phone accidentally damaged
+ 3.5mm jack allows headphones and microphones
+ OLED screen has a deep black color and accurate colors to work on Color Grading
+ Good Front Camera & Design, Full Screen
+ Loud and Clear Stereo Speakers on up and down sides
+ Battery Life is Amazing , constant 24h avarage use without gaming and 13-14h SOT on stamina mode & 60hz ( 3-4h less while 120hz )
+ I haven't experienced thermal throttling even recording 4k 120 videos , Screen rainbow effect and Fingerprint reader issues
                        Cons:
                        - Buggy O.S animations sometimes
                        - Screen would be bright than default ~800nits
                        - HDR lacking on Photos against harsh lights especially when taking bokeh mode and there is no way to fix it unless change your direction (another shooting options can handle lights except Bokeh), but with manual settings, you can shoot best photos

Sony what kind of magic of your battery last 2dayhalf im heavy use editing photos and videos raw. Mind blowing I think who gamers should try out.. because im photography not gamer

Jimbob, 24 Jan 2024Waiting for the next model... they need to drop this tall d... moreNo matter what phone you use nowadays, any 6 or above inch screen, your medium lentgth thumb ends up just slightly above the midlle screen height.
People have to strech, no matter the lame aspect ranting...

Personally, aint got no such problems, as the saying goes: "your thumb is as long as your d... is".

Mine is bought in October and no lags or problems with unlocking or inputs. I reboot my phone when the phone reminds me, around every third week.

Disappointed in this phone, I came from Asus Zenfone 9, and should have just upgraded to Zenfone 10.
Browser will often get laggy, which makes the 120Hz screen ironically pointless, since it lags on OS level, regardless of how fast the screen may be.
Every now and again apps won't accept inputs or phone fails to unlock (as if some additional overlay screen was present on top of the unlock screen) and phone has to be restarted.
Finnicky software kills the experience, even if the hardware is stellar.

Sever, 01 Feb 2024Some smart and visionary managers there decided to take out... moreYeah I like the notification LED it's better than AOD I think, usually AOD is time set, LED's are blinking all the time. One look at the phone and voila you can see the LED, instead of ticking on the screen to show the AOD. LED takes much less energy.

Some smart and visionary managers there decided to take out the notification LED, probably for saving 1$.

So, phone have 15W wireless charging and approximately 5W reverse charging. Android 14 is one big lagging software but only if you using stock launcher from xperia. Audio quality from jack 3.5mm and bluetooth is very good (using sony bt headphones XM5).
Also - remember that you have here microSD card.
Battery lifetime is insane compared to my last phone (flip4) - 1 day and few hours on 60Hz display.
120Hz is not adaptive but even if enabled battery still gets SOT 6-8h of using.
If someone want phone for taking photos in night - with some changing options in manual mode, all images have good quality, minimal data loss and you can save them as RAW.
