Thanks to the huge improvement of the technology like this year, people won't be able to feel the grateful and the happiness when people own this device in 2016. You buy this phone as a 2nd device. You buy this phone to add it to your phones collection (like me), or maybe you have to buy this phone to use it as a main driver when you don't have enough money for the 2020 phones. You DON'T buy this phone for heavy multi-tasking stuff, due to it old chipset that will be slow down overtime. If you are the peep who wants a powerful yet innovative device, go get a 2020 smartphone and don't scroll back to the past. A 2020 smartphone can fix those problems that you're facing with your 2016 Sony device. It's my true advice. It's up to your decision what to buy but I only give you some technical advice when buying an outdated product. :)

This phone has given me an astonishing photos and videos, super fast and stable connection, vivid and natural colours whilst watching, but despite all that from the first week I bought this phone I stated suffer with it because of the heat specially when using the camera or an app requires effort.

Ok phone. Sometimes gets a bit hot especially when using the camera. Both the cameras are super distorted. Like they have a weird lense that makes everything look longer. Normal for a front camera to fit more in but the back too.

Question for you all: Is it not safe to purchase older smartphone when using banking apps etc? Because of no security patches. Or is it okay of you stay of funky websites and install antivirus funktion on the phone? Much appreciated. I really like these elder, smaller devices from Sony!

Is this heating sam... morebattery life: original new battery 2900 could stay until night without intensive gaming, but nowadays, you may buy a dead battery after 4 years from relaese date of the phone. my 4 yr old battery was very trash and at last it was giving ~1900-2100mAh, i bought a new (!) one, it gives 2300 mAh after 1 month use.
it has heating problems like old versions. shuts down the camera after recording a few minutes 4k video. usually lags and freezes on war robots game after 5-10 min. play time.

: Just bought a brand new XZ for $125 USD. So far so good, running Android 8 and no problems whatsoever. Bought a fast charge 18W charger, screen protector and an Amzer dual layer shockproof case to go with it. I only use it for calls and texts, playing music on my bluetooth speaker and taking pictures and videos. I also put in a 64 gig sd card so I now have more then enough space. So this should last a while and I luv the size ! Can't stand these new phones with the larger screens. Very inconvenient to carry around and their easier to break as well because of the size and weight...

When I first got this phone last month, the performance of the device was terrible, constantly lagging all the time, freezing necessarily and heating up just by scrolling through the phone. But after installing a customised version of XZ rom. The performance became insanely better, I can scroll through the internet without a problem, playing call of duty isn't a problem anymore and I can also play pubg with minor heat. Battery life also became insanely better as I can play the game at full battery for about 4 hrs and basic tasks for more the double the amount of hours. I recommend that if you are wanting to pick this smartphone to flash a custom ROM or even flash a customised ROM of the official version and not use of companion as it doesn't do that much improve in the performance.

Don't play games much in this device.
It makes hard to play stable. Sometimes freeze, sometimes very lag (In my case, i'm playung magic chess)
And also the good thing is speaker. Loud, clear, and stereo.
Every (old) Android have bad haptic engine. Not like iphone ones.

I have 2 of these phone and they are both awful. One is incredibly slow and another one would randomly reboot and lags a lot at low percent battery, ghost taps. Also, the camera often doesn't work and you will have to reboot the phone for it to work again. OVERALL AN AWFUL PHONE, DO NOT BUY THIS.

Ive been using this phone for 3years ..now it has a battery issue i can use it for only 4hrs. when playing moba games u cant play this in outdoor cause of temperature rising , every hour its freeze and slowly like a🔔 hell . not recomend this if you are heavy gamer,. videograhy .
if play mobile legend you go to aircon to maintain temperature , or front of elcectric fan .
the good is. great camera , speaker design and it is still alive .
