You need to set it to normal mode~

Call reception not good, missing a lot of calls, signal issue too, come on sony rectify it with an update soon

are you sure heating is not an issue because it's heats up within an hour and can be a defect

Got my Z last night, last night unit. I don't know why people kept on complaining about the viewing angles. They are completely fine as you wont be looking at your phone sideways.
The best thing about the phone i love is the Walkman, music sound amazing with the clear audio+.
Just get what you love.

I know cause I actually own the phone and when you take it out the box there is a sticker that says 30 min
even when my battery dies it takes 2 hours to reach full charge but I want to buy the quick charger off the sony website.

Quick review
Got my xperia z in white 4 days ago as a early birthday gift
Screen:
The screen is absolutely amazing it's crisp and clear and watching a movie in anything but 1080p is a waste they'll still look good thanks to the bravia engine but once you've seen 1080p on the xperia z screen it just aint the same.
as for people talking about viewing angles it's absolutely fine no issues the only people that will have issues are haters making up stories. Only issue with the screen on full brightness it eats battery like crazy.
Call Quality and speaker
When I make calls it's loud and clear. I even asked my friends about how clear I sounded on it they said I sound loud and clear. The loud speaker Is louder then my old xperia x10 so that's good enough for me *note after being submerged in water it takes 15-30 min to become crystal clear again you can still hear everything but if you listen closely it sounds a little distorted but once it dries it's fine.
Battery:
Man the first day I got it I thought I had a battery issue as it drained quickly but since then everyday it gets better and better (I've read some forums and apparently at the beginning google apps are doing a lot of cacheing so this eats your battery but once this initial process is over your battery use should be normal)
Yesterday After my 2nd full charge I got 13 hours heavy use out of it 1hr of web surfing 20 min on play store 15 min on youtube 1.5hrs of music play 100+ photo's taken most with flash on (used burst mode a lot and visited some asian friends who love taking pics) chatted on whats app half of the day also played with google now a bit watched 15 min of the hobbit. The phone was on hsdpa all day except when I was using wifi *note during all this stamina mode was off
At the moment after my 3rd full charge I'm sitting at 14hrs 36m and 47s of usage with 55% battery left (stamina mode on)
Styling:
Every one that see's it thinks it's cool or they ask what it is (funny thing a friend of mine got her galaxy s3 the same day she walks in excited pulls it out then I pull mine out and I could see the smile drain off her face)
Went to see 2 different doctors (cause I have back issues) I put it on the table facing down and they kept looking at it while talking to me. Not to mention my friends saying stuff like omg I'm so jealous I wan't one.
Processing speed and Lag:
Lag what Lag this thing hasn't stuttered once It's a beast it just keeps going and going. I already transferred a lot of stuff to it not to mention my memory card was already full. No matter how full the memory gets it never slows down ever (after using this phone it actually makes me wonder why anyone needs more then 1.5 ghz quadcore snapdragon running Jelly bean). *note the processor makes the back of the phone a little warm this warm spot is about 2cm in diameter the rest of the phone stays cool the first day it freaked me out but since then don't really notice it.
Build quality.
It's sony nuff said.
The flaps are very good quality it will be difficult to break them and the tethers are really tough as well also difficult to break.
Supplied Headphones and sound reproduction:
The supplied headphones are stylish very good oem headphones they provide a good seal and are clear and provide good bass very very good for headsets sold with a phone also good build quality (my only issue is wire tangling I'm to used to my thick cables).
I really love my music so I have my own jvc extreme explosive in ear monitors these things make every device sound better then they are and will pick up a lot of flaws in the music reproduction and the best bang for buck headphones on the planet providing deep punchy bass.
MAN OH MAN when I hooked up these headphones to the xperia z I was blown away I then put bass boost on and I was like this is the best thing ever then I went into settings and clicked on clear audio ... OMG I don't know what sony's engineers did to the audio software but It's freaken amazing seriously it's that good (I think they put little angels inside the phone to tweak the audio software) 10 times better then beats audio over hyped garbage every note is crisp clear and loud. I made my friends listen to it and every one of them was blown away (I also had x loud on but I think it only applies to external speaker).
Camera quality:
tested it against my friends iphone 4s and it was better. low light performance was better then all my friends phones. Camera takes about 1.5-2 sec to start up (haven't really done any video recording yet)
Final Thought's:
I'm completely happy with this phone the best parts are the styling, processor, the camera, the screen and the sound reproduction.
Dislike's:
the fact that the screen drains fast on 50 - 100% brightness(not a big issue since it still looks great at 20-50%) No sony browser it just has google chrome (UAE version) I downloaded dolphin browser instead.
I miss having a camera shutter key (just preference but I'll trade the shutter key for waterproofing anyday).
Retail package:
My retail package came with the docking station 2 chargers a regular usb and a car charger the EX300AP headphones and 3 nfc tags. The phone has some good software features that get enabled with the charging dock haven't tried them all yet.

For all Xperia Z proud owner, can anyone confirm if the back panel glass also has factory installed screen protector as the front panel glass?
