this phone is a superbeast, based on all the specs it's looks so powerful. the screen size is huge and the quality is phenomenal, however this accompanied with the non-renewable battery could lead to the a really shitty battery life. the battery lives on smartphones aren't the best but looking at the specs it could be really under par.

"Using the Z yesterday I had over 9 hrs of use with 3.5 hours with the screen on (about 20 minutes of that with full brightness, rest of the time I had it about half brightness), 4g data, wifi and bluetooth on all day, facebook and twitter syncing every hour, email every 30 minutes plus a gmail account for push email, gtalk running full time, about 6 accounts syncing also used the camera a little bit for burst shots before I plugged it in to charge when I went to bed. Still had around 20% left. That is without the stamina mode on or any other battery saving features.
This phone last so much longer than my ion or TL. I don't think there is an issue with battery life here."
He even posted pictures of his battery stats. 3.5 hours of screen on use, with 20% left after 9 hours of unplug.
I'm interested in the stamina of actual continuous screen on with this. Anyone cab confirm?

And then a review says the battery charge to go on a full day, but again another one is partially confirming Engadget's claim the battery usage to go on for only around 6 hours :
"We haven’t been able to run our battery life benchmark yet, but during 40 minutes of intensive use surfing the internet and playing games, the phone's battery dropped 10%, showing you should be able to play around the phone constantly for six hours on a charge."

Rather disappointing again for Sony's bad reputation for battery capacities for their mid to high preforming smartphones, if the Z's battery actual continuous usage time is at only 6 hours. Waiting on GSM Arenas battery review.

This is a deal breaker:
"... that the Xperia Z didn't go beyond six hours on our battery rundown test. Looping video at 50 percent brightness, with WiFi on (but not connected), the phone managed a little over five and a half hours on our first test. That's actually longer than the Nexus 4 which also had issues going the distance at 5:18, but less than both the Droid DNA and the 720p Optimus G. Oddly, the Z model packs a 2,330mAh power cell, versus the 2,020mAh battery found on HTC's 5-incher. So what's going on here? We repeated our test twice, as it'd be a shame for an erroneous benchmark to sully the Xperia Z's name. However, the second round added only 10 minutes. It could be that Sony's screen tech is less power-efficient than HTC's IPS Super LCD 3."
