If iPhone 16 was just iPhone 15 with A18, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 157 grams weight and 7.2mm thickness for $799, that would be all I would wish for.
Then iPhone 17 can be an iPhone 16 with 1-120Hz AOD and AF ultrawide for macro, and also the yearly chip/battery density/modem upgrade.
And iPhone 18 even lighter below 150 grams. But I‘m asking too much. My wishes for iPhone 16 (especially in the weight and dimension department) won’t even be fulfilled by iPhone 18.

What is also a fact, is that Samsung supplies the displays that Apple uses. Apple doesn't make any components in the iPhone. They just design and brand it.

You aren't getting anythi... moreYou get the 48MP upgraded camera sensors from the 14 Pro's, but other than that, yea most people will not see or feel a difference so unless you mainly use your phone to take pictures/videos wait for the 16 or 17. Nothing really to see here.

They cant even bother to give 120 (or even 90) on their Basic models? Its 2024 people. The "different phones for different kind of people" doesnt really work here. Apple makes 4 models a year not 20. They should include the option and it should be up to the individual whether to use it or not. It would make sence if this was a budget phone. But Apple doesnt do budget phones. Its a sub 1k dollar phone.
Honestly everything else is great but going from a 120Hz screen to 60, i just cant do.

good phone for the price, and good battery, only downside is that you cant transfer from ipad at all, even if its updated to the newest version of iPadOS

D1N0B, 22 Feb 2024all iphones since the 6s could record 4KI had the iPhone 6s and it was really good, expect that the battery only lasted for an hour due to it being water damage. Definetly when apple peaked.
