I just bought this phone for $155 from a physical store because my previous phone was Samsung A54 and my eyes are sensitive to PWD.
Everything about this phone is great, beautiful and light design, high quality IPS screen, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage with 8GB RAM, smooth and light user interface, very good battery with 30W charger and handsfree jack. Only the quality of the cameras is not great, which is not important at this price.
A strange issue about this phone and some other Motorola models such as G23, G13, G52, G72 and Edge 30 Fusion is that these phones in Iran have the vpn option hidden by default in their settings menu! Considering that all major social media apps are blocked in Iran, this creates a big problem for Iranian users.
My phone was updated to Android 14 and its VPN appeared.

saran, 18 May 2024screen cast doesn't work It works but not with Miracast, The phone and the TV must be connected to the same wifi and then you can share screen on TV.

IPS screens are very good. Go check out what ipad screens are made of. g73 specially doesn't give an eye strain. OLED screens outperform only in very bright sun. All those dead pixel, green lines are mostly OLED related issues.

btw Moto did change the greens in the photo. i wasnt paying attention so didn't notice which update did this happen, but it's no longer acid-punchy and pretty natural. the processing still oversharpens pictures though, but that's nitpicking.

in smartphone world IPS reigns supreme.

even though there is eye safe oled technology out there.
especially with tv lcd made of oled who dont use pwm dimming or other types of eyestraining technology.

i havent tested those tv's by using them,
but I have held my smartphone camera over it in pro mode with low shutter speed and i could not see any pwm flickering.

I remember once testing a samsung tablet with oled which also didnot have visible pwm flickering according to my camera.

if im not mistaken, the old original samsung smartphones also had amoled and for some reason didnt hurt the eyes. different technology or just virgin eyes?

I really don't understand the outright hatred lcd's (and people who prefer them) get .

Personally I think all manufacturers should offer an lcd alternative to their phone lineup ,that way everyone would be happy as people can't complain that it's not an oled as they will have an oled version of the same phone ,I know there would be a slight difference in the look (obviously you can't curve an lcd) ,but the name and stats would be the same (apart from the addition of lcd in it's title) ,hell they could give you a 4k lcd just to make up for it .
But it's unlikely to happen ,so I will have to suffer with a low end device with minimal updates or choose eyestrain/headache vertigo and physical sickness (its a great life) .
