A reminder windows phone was discontinued by microsoft and its not getting any updates that's why there are more bugs and sim cards stop working. You may need to try using a old sim card because i put a 2G sim card in my Nokia Lumia 510 and it works fine.

hi! i just got my grandma's old phone and is this. is there a way to install apps?? just silly games and stuff, to entertain myself when i'm in public transport! (it's dangerous to take out my phone D-:)

I bought this phone since 2013. The battery died in 2017 but the phone still works if it's stay in charge. It's upgradable to WP 7.8. But I bought a Vodafone version of it, and somehow now it can't access network because the date & time can't sync automatically (no options for it for vodafone version somehow). It syncs well with Zune. The thing that disappoints me is only the RAM. 256MB is small for a WP, while there are still whatsapp and still usable (pre 2017), it lags so much if I got too much chats and groups.
Oh, please note for everyone who just bought this or planning to buy this: It can't install WhatsApp and Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is dead since I dunno, maybe 2017s I can't remember. You could somehow Interop unlock it and install xap (apps) manually for telegram and such, but it's so outdated (and no, you still can't use whatsapp even tho you sideload the xap). I recommend using this phone only for mails (setup using IMAP, or live account using "Exchange"), phone calls, SMS/MMS, music/vids (Zune) and photography. Else, I hate to say this but, it's no longer usable. If you love Windows Phone, stick with newer devices (Windows Phone 8.1 or W10M devices), or better move on to newest Android/iOS devices.

I had this phone since 2014. It actually runs great and the time, even the Windows 8.1 Phones are now better, but this is the first phone I had with a camera button, and macro focus, allowing me to capture great things even the camera only 5 MP. Zune is fine, yet it lags on apps because of the RAM. If you just need to have a phone to call, capture with good camera, email service and SMS (and a simple IE browser), or even just using it as GPS navigation, this phone still works great. But when you need more than that, like social media and kind of nowadays apps, sorry bro you need to find another phone. Ohyeah, the durability of this phone is "Nokia" grade tho ;) 2014 until now, no parts broken and no dent at all.
