Some 20 years I bought a trendy Sony-Ericsson and it was crap.
Last summer I bought an Xperia 1V to replace a Samsung S23 due to th e3.5 headphone jack (I often spend hours on the phone while travelling so I need to talk AND charge).
Well, any headphone I use doesn't work. I need to unplug and re-plug it EVERY time I make a call, when the call is already started.
In addition to this, the phone randomly reboots (this morning during a call).
A piece of junk. Luckily I bought it on Amazon and I should eb able to return it to sender and get my money back. Fingers crossed

Bad, 27 Aug 2023This is a general problem with xperia 1 After update 11 ... moreEven if you bought Samsung at the time you bought this, your phone won't even make it to their new 5 year update policy. Heck, even the Galaxy S20 from 3 years ago didn't make the cut since minimum is S21 lol.

Most non mainstream phone manufacturers stop updates after 2- 3 years. Even my legion phone's last update was january 1 2022

I compared it to my ips lcd phone side by side and my xperia actually have true blacks so its not ips.. for the ppi I use the app "Device Info HW" to see its actually 642 ppi however screen is not always in 4k but there is a solution to that.

I got a refurbished model 802SO(japan ver) in pristine condition for very cheap... It does not come with 4k oled at 643ppi...probably because it's a special promo version by Softbank japan ... According to aida64 app there is no listing on the type of lcd technology used.. Probably ips lcd.. Ppi is listed at 443ppi... Cpu gpu are all up to specs.

I am using this phone currently in 1 month. The heat when I'm just doing some browsing for 10 minute is high. 23°C to 39°C only in 10-15 minutes. Is my phone broken or is it because the SD 855 poor optimization?

It has less bandwidth due to different internet chip so make sure you check before purchase. However docomo version didn't allow unlock bootloader.the good news, docomo version cheap than global version

Teemmps, 21 Jul 2023For those who have used and are still using this phone does... moreI using the xperia 1 as main phone and it will not last for 1 day if u always use it. 3300 mah not enough. Maybe about 6-8 hours . So, need to charge again. depends on you what type of user but for me i think its okay. maybe u can buy the xperia 1 mark II. it is better.
