I was thinking of buying this phone or the Xperia 1.
... morebro i buy it last year,used , then i buff (from watch shop) the display and backside to make it shiny, till today no issues but first check it properly before buying I'm just saying that if there is no problem at the time of purchase than display will be fine.
only issue is Battery
bro i need to charge it 3 times a day but i use it to play heaviest games at highest graphics so my usage is high .
in short display till today is brilliant

Hi,
I was thinking of buying this phone or the Xperia 1.
I saw some used phone. The price is almost the same for both xperia 1 and 5.
Is there any display green line issue?

Honestly speaking, I'm using this device and there is no issue at all in display segment, especially the display related calibration and colours accuracy is just joyful and there is no issue like Green tint or black crush is found in this device during my usage. Audio quality is also louder with an extra feature of Dirac HD sound where we can customise audio quality according to the choice. Having a smaller box of 3100mah battery is no doubt a smaller portion of life, now a days, as mostly devices are getting package of 5000mah battery but it's fine for a normal user. A support of 18 watt fast charger with P.D 2.0 is also a gift , i'd tried LG v60 P.D 3.0 charger and surprisingly it took less than 1 hour for complete charging but it degrades the battery life very rapidly so I'll not recommend it.
Camera Performance is just wooow , never disappoints me with telephoto lens , the clear accuracy, details and edges detection is very amazing. I only got disappointment in video stabilisation which is not enough to get justification for any flagship device but not bad.
Signal reception and connectivity is also potent so never got disappointment

1- Some say that the fingerprint scanner is bad, in fact this problem can be easily overcome, you can re-register your fingerprint for 3 times by sliding the same finger on the fingerprint reader, in (Settings.. Sécurité.. Fingerprint Manager)
2- It is best to check the real capacity of the battery through the aida64 apk, which you can install from the Google Store. (aida64.. Battery.. Charge Counter) After charging the phone 100% and then compare the result with the real capacity of the battery.
3- It's best when previewing the phone screen.By swiping the light indicator on the highest brightness, then preview any image in dark gray. I hope you don't find a green shade in the middle of the screen, this is a common problem in devices xperia 5.
4- If the battery is low Activating this option will help you complete your day without having to recharge the battery, provided that you do not play heavy games. (Settings.. Battery.. Stamina mode.. [turn on now].. Stamina level.. Battery time preferred).
The battery will be good it will last a whole day with normal use.. The screen in the event of a green shade is a simple problem that will not affect the screen and will only appear in low light at night. The camera is good.

Upol, 26 Nov 2023My xperia 5 is stuck at Android 9. when will I get android ... moreIf you have pc , Download sony Xperia companion software from official website and connect your device to Pc , after it shows in Software i suggest click on software repair option, it will download latest software (Android 11) and flash it , i recommend fully backup all data before doing this and removing all accounts (Google+ password) ,then you can easily Install android 11 from official sony tool , Use good Type-C cable, Xperia 5 is not detected using Low quality type C cables.

Very nice device but difficult getting it's accessories. Sometimes too the fingerprint don't respond very well.

Anjan, 16 Aug 2023Where have you purchased from?I purchased from Lagos Nigeria. So far so good it's been a very wonderful phone. No complains at all except the fingerprint scanner which refuse to work sometimes but that's not a problem for me at all as I can use pattern or numbers instead.
