@SHARMA - Leave the useless Pocket Media Player... Install the freeware TCPMP (Google this abbreviation) or the commercial version of the same program named CorePlayer. Both support ALL kids of AVI, MP3 and OGG formats + straming flash video (YouTube, MetaCafe, etc.). The only difference is that TCPMP supports subtitles via 3rd party plug-ins, while the CorePlayer does not.

anyone know how you add a personalised ringtone to this phone. There isn't an option to save as ringtone which I would expect, and the manual sheds no light on the matter either!!

                        Thx

well, i bought it 7 days ago and allthough i used to despise windows mobiles, i love this one! it's very good, has a really fast wi-fi connection,a good interface, not much of a camera of course, but camera is not all that matters on a smartphone.adding the fact that i bought it for only 89euros....it was a real bargain!!!!!!

This phone sucks. WM5 sucks too. Was using Symbian S60 3rd, switched to this phone for 1 week. Big disappointment. A simple function will require 4-5 clicks. e.g. In messaging, switching from Inbox to Sent Box requires you to dig into the menu, select folder and pick the folder... Holy not making sense.

Immediately switched to Samsung i450 after 1 week of G500. Loving my Samsung now.

I can't really see Toshiba's Future with mobile phones, they have made some good handsets but their competiton is going nowhere, I mean, what's a G500, why are the copying the likes of Samsung and Sony Ericsson, why are they trying to ashame the big names in the Cellular World? They should just give up and continue making what they normally make like Televisions and DVD Players and stop trying to mock the Mobile Phone World. I rest my case!!!

fingerprint reader can store 'all' of your finger prints.. all ten! they can be linked for launching applications before going deep down the menu. very useful feature but wont work while eating fried chicken..with advanced usb connectivity we have a little pc-clone here I must add.. cute. On the other hand I noticed that gsm reception indoors is a little weak, could be my gsm operator though.
