you can convert your 3g phone to 4g. it's possible...
to convert you have to first find an old keypad phone which can run Java application (if possible find out nokia N series phone)
Now go to settings in that phone and start scrolling menus without pressing keypad...(touch the screen for scroll) if screen responses and you can operate that phone without keypad then extract the chipsets of that phone and replace with your smartphone.

It worked for me from Sept 2014 to Dec 2017, Though display was good.. but battery became issue after 3.5 years of good working

A very good investment :) I used it from march 2015 to april 2019 before it crashes :(
It does not want to boot anymore. According to the repairer, it is a motherboard issue. But I am not that sad, it served me loyally for more than 4 years :)
