my security app version is 8.7.8-240416.1.1 . my suggestion is do not download security app from internet.. try to ask for someone with same phone, and ask him to share his security app.

Ershad-m, 24 May 2024Hello If you hold the phone close to your ear in a quiet en... moremust be made in india varient Majority of issues came in indian made note 10 pro. dont know why, maybe they use lowcost parts. else Global version is far better and free from such issues. mine working strong since 2021. latest version 14.0.8 , just turn off auto sync, disable few things settings~ pasword & secirity ~ authorization revocation ~ from here disable msa, miui demon, feedback, updater, get apps, xiaomi sim activation. Also disable notifications of un used apps, uninstall unused apps. by doing these steps your phone runs snapier faster , longer battery life. remember to manually sync if you use to snyc data.. thanks

Hello If you hold the phone close to your ear in a quiet environment, you will notice that a sound comes out of it. This is the battery drain problem. Only pay attention to the phone when you feel it draining. Or in a program like Telegram on the chat page, if the sounds in the program are active, this sound will be played when sending or receiving a message. Unfortunately, there is no solution other than rebooting.

Correct version of Security App and possible optimal battery charging? (stop at 80%)
My device + software:
Redmi Note 10 Pro GLOBAL 256GB/8GB
device name K2101K6G
MIUI 14.0.8.0 / Global
Security App Version = 9.1.2-240-23.1.1
Is this the correct version for Global variants? (downloaded it from apk mirror)
What do the .0.1 and .1.2 versions do? i know one is aparantly only for china?
Anyhow my phone works fine but i would like more battery options and with each new security version there were less battery options.
I am not a battery tweaker and it is not life supporting, but i use the phone at home most of the time and it is almast ALWAYS plugged in, so i would like some optimal charging to allow me to tell the phone to charge only to 80%
Is there any way to acheive this on that device?
Or does Xiaomi really have some automated process that 100% is not really 100% and i need not worry at all?

Since 2021 until now I'm using this phone stuck on android 12 and miui 13, didn't update cause I'm scared many issues after update so I stick on android 12 and everything working fine except charging pin is loose and have to keep on table while charging cannot use the phone while on charge otherwise no others issues I'm happy with this phone and as long as it's working I won't buy any new 5g phone happy with 4g

Average, 20 May 2024Have you try to reinstalling the google maps???, sometimes ... moreyep i tried reinstalling Maps though GoogleMaps cannot be completely uninstalled (only the updates) i tried via the app-nanager and also via GooglePlayStore ..... after reinstalling, same problem. Have a twin device from my neigbour, same version, same apps, different google account and the rotation is fine. So somehow i guess it also has to do with the google account? but cannot figure out. Meanwhile i believe it is a google problem because people from other phone brands report similar issues.
Overall i am still very satisfied with my global version of RN10Pro. it just is a shame because i rely on a usable compass feature, pedestrian mode of Maps.

Phone is more than Ok according to price.. i m using 6/128 Global varient since 2021... no issues till now.. updated regularly now on 14.0.8. after final update battery time reduced but after watching yt videos on how to save battery of note 10 pro.. after tweaks n few setting battery timing improved a lot. fone is still going strong.. not changing fone for another year...

Well, xiaomi.eu is a great custom rom, it retains all the og stuff, but improves a lot and the tweaks they did are awesome! Been using it for 6 months and got an update, yes this gets updates, but you have to install them manually, but it works! Even Hyperos is comming, i tried Hyperos, but it is not ready for daily driver use, except if you live in China

Custom roms are the future for this phone now, we just need maintainers to upkeep the device.

Since 2021, no custom rom just OTA and it's been so good I'm not buying any phone for the foreseeable future,not interested in your AI phones 😀

2 years of usage, front camera stopped working and sound completely gone. If someone calls me or I call them they don't hear my voice. If I connect to any device via USB, I can't play any music or video. Too much issues with this phone and it's not even 3 years old yet. I don't hangout on social media that much, I'm mostly on my computer. So I've been quite easygoing to the device. This is my first Xiaomi experience and it hasn't been pleasant.
